BetStars Offer – Germany v England & England v Netherlands

England face stiff competition from Germany and Netherlands as they step up their Euro 2016 preparations and BetStars are getting in on the action! Place a pre-match bet on Germany v England and/or England v Netherlands and if the match ends in a draw, BetStars will refund losing Match Result & Both Teams To Score, First/Last Goalscorer, Correct Score and HT/FT bets as a free bet up to a maximum of £25.00 per match. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £34.06 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

We need to place our qualifying bets on selections that don’t see the games resulting in a draw. This ensures that if a match is drawn, we will automatically be eligible for a free bet refund as our qualifying bet will have lost.

It’s entirely up to you what you place your qualifying bets on. At the time of writing, the lay odds are pretty poor but they’ll tighten up as the games draw nearer. I’ll use fictional odds in following example and then I’ll update the bottom of this post with my actual selections after the matches have been played.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…

Place £25.00 on Germany/Germany @ 2.50 = Potential profit of £37.50

smarkets whiteLay £22.48 on Germany/Germany @ 2.80 = Potential liability of £40.47

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Germany/Germany + £37.50 – £40.47 = £2.97 loss
Not Germany/Germany and game drawn – £25.00 + £22.03 + £20.00 (extract 80% from our £25.00 free bet) = £17.03 profit
Not Germany/Germany and game not drawn – £25.00 + £22.03 = £2.97 loss

So, if the match is a draw, we will make a nice profit of £17.03. Any other outcome and we’ll have lost £2.97. Risking £2.97 to make a profit of £17.03, gives us effective odds of 6.73, so given the fact that the odds of a draw are only 3.60, this is a profitable offer over time.

This offer is also available on England v Netherlands (kick-off at 20:00 on Tuesday 29th March 2016), giving us a potential overall profit of £34.06 on this BetStars offer.

Free bets will be credited within 48 hours of each match ending and will expire after 7 days. If you’re unsure how to extract 80% of a free bet as cash, check out my Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

I’ll update the bottom of this post with my actual selections after the matches have been played.

* I actually placed my qualifying bets on Germany/Germany and England/England respectively. Neither game resulted in a draw, meaning I made a loss of £7.35 on this BetStars offer. *
