BoyleSports Offer – Crossbar Double Winnings

It’s Week 21 of the Premier League 2016/17 season and you don’t want to miss this BoyleSports offer! Simply place a pre-match bet on selected Premier League games this weekend, and if either side hits the crossbar, BoyleSports will double winnings on all pre-match markets as a free bet. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us an overall potential profit of £39.63 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bets:

This weekend’s eligible matches are as follows…

Fixture Kick-Off Date
Tottenham v West Brom 12:30 Saturday 14th January 2017
Everton v Man City 16:00 Sunday 15th January 2017

We must opt-in to this promotion to be eligible.

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

If either team hits the crossbar, BoyleSports will double winnings on all pre-match markets as a free bet. The maximum stake for this offer is £25.00 and the maximum free bet is £500.00.

Just to clarify, the ball must strike the crossbar and rebound back into play. The side posts do not count for the purposes of this offer.

Having looked at the odds available for Tottenham v West Brom, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on ‘Yes’ in the ‘Both Teams To Score’ market.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £24.04…

Place £25.00 on ‘Both Teams To Score – Yes’ @ 2.25 = Potential profit of £31.25

smarkets whiteLay £24.04 on ‘Both Teams Score – Yes’ @ 2.36 = Potential liability of £32.69

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Both teams score and crossbar not struck + £31.25 – £32.69 = £1.44 loss
Both teams score and crossbar struck + £31.25 – £32.69 + £25.00 (extract 80% from £31.25 free bet) = £23.56 profit
Someone keeps a clean sheet – £25.00 + £23.56 = £1.44 loss

So, if both teams score and the crossbar is struck, we’ll make a nice profit of £23.56. If, however, someone keeps a clean sheet or the crossbar isn’t struck, we’ll have made a small loss of £1.44. Risking £1.44 to make a profit of £23.56, gives us effective odds of 17.36, which I’m sure you’ll agree, makes this a profitable offer in the long run.

This offer is available on both specified matches. It’s entirely up to you what markets you place your qualifying bets on, but here’s what I’ll be going for…

Fixture Selection Back Odds Lay Odds Qualifying Loss Potential Profit
Tottenham v West Brom BTTS 2.25 2.36 £1.44 £23.56
Everton v Man City Man City 1.833 1.86 £0.59 £16.07

So, as you can see, we’ll lose £2.03 if neither of our bets come in, but with £39.63 profit up for grabs, this offer is well worth a shot!

If you’re not sure how to extract 80% cash from a free bet, please see my Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
