Coral Offer – Arsenal v Hull City

Arsenal host Hull City in the first of the weekend’s FA Cup 5th Round ties and you don’t want to miss this Coral offer. Bet £20.00+ on Arsenal v Hull City and Coral will give us a £10.00 free bet to be used in play on any FA Cup match this weekend. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £5.57 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

Qualifying bets can be placed pre-match or in play at minimum odds of 1.50 (1/2) or above to be eligible for the free bet. Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on a draw.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator…

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £18.44…

Place £20.00 on a draw @ 4.50 = Potential profit of £70.00

smarkets white

Lay £18.44 on a draw @ 4.90 = Potential liability of £71.93

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Draw + £70.00 – £71.93 = £1.93 loss
Not a draw – £20.00 + £18.07 = £1.93 loss

So regardless of the result of match, we will lose £1.93 in qualifying for our £10.00 free in play bet.

Free Bet:

Our £10.00 free in play bet will be credited upon settlement of our qualifying bet and can only be used on the in play markets of any FA Cup match this weekend. The free bet will expire at the end of Shrewsbury v Man Utd (19:45 kick-off on Monday 22nd February 2016).

By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 75% of our £10.00 free bet as cash, so around £7.50. If we take into account our qualifying loss of £1.93, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £5.57 on this Coral offer!
