Coral Offer – Capital One Cup Final 2016

Liverpool face Manchester City in the Capital One Cup Final on Sunday and Coral are getting in on the action! Bet £20.00+ pre-match on Liverpool v Manchester City and Coral will give us a £10.00 free bet to be used in play on the match. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £6.44 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

Qualifying bets must be placed pre-match at minimum odds of 1.50 (1/2) or greater to be eligible for the free bet. Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on a Manchester City win.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator…

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £19.33…

Place £20.00 on Man City @ 2.30 = Potential profit of £26.00

smarkets white

Lay £19.33 on Man City @ 2.40 = Potential liability of £27.06

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Man City win + £26.00 – £27.06 = £1.06 loss
Man City don’t win – £20.00 + £18.94 = £1.06 loss

So regardless of the result of match, we will lose £1.06 in qualifying for our £10.00 free in play bet.

Free Bet:

Our £10.00 free in play bet will be credited upon settlement of our qualifying bet and can only be used on the in play markets of the Capital One Cup Final. The free bet will expire at the end of Liverpool v Manchester City (16:30 kick-off on Sunday 28th February 2016).

By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 75% of our £10.00 free bet as cash, so around £7.50. If we take into account our qualifying loss of £1.06, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £6.44 on this Coral offer!
