Qualifying bets must be placed between 08:00 on Friday 19th August 2016 until kick-off tonight (20:00 on Friday 19th August 2016).
Qualifying bets must be pre-match single bets on the First Goalscorer market for Manchester United v Southampton, to be eligible.
It’s not possible to make this offer risk-free, so we need to place our qualifying bet at tight back and lay odds, in order to minimise our qualifying loss.
At the time of writing, the lay odds are pretty poor, so I will use fictional odds in the following example and I’ll update the bottom of this post with my actual selection, after the match. So, if Ibrahimovic doesn’t score first and the match is a draw, we will make a profit of £17.62. If Ibrahimovic does score first or the match isn’t a draw, we’ll have made a loss of £2.38. Risking £2.38 to make a profit of £17.62, gives us effective odds of 8.40, so given that the odds of a draw are 4.00, this is a profitable offer in the long run, even though we need someone other than Ibrahimovic to score first.
If the game is drawn, free bet refunds will be credited by 12:00 on Saturday 20th August 2016 and will be valid for 24 hours.
