SkyBet Free Bet Offer – Chelsea v Arsenal

Another fantastic SkyBet free bet offer.  Simply place a minimum bet of £5.00 on Chelsea v Arsenal and if both teams score, SkyBet will refund all losing first goalscorer, last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles as a free bet up to £25.00 within 24 hours of the match finishing.  Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £9.60 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walkthrough guide on how to place your qualifying bets.

We need to select a scoreline that sees at least one of the teams keep a clean sheet.  This ensures that if both teams score, we will automatically be eligible for a free bet refund as our qualifying bet will have lost.  Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted for a 2-0 Chelsea win.

skybet

Place £25.00 on 2-0 Chelsea @ 8.50 = Potential profit of £187.50

betfair

Lay £20.33 on 2-0 Chelsea @ 10.50 = Potential liability of £193.14

Let’s have a look at our current potential profit/loss for the following outcomes…

2-0 Chelsea +£187.50 – £193.14 = £5.64 loss
Not 2-0 Chelsea and both teams score -£25.00 + £19.32 + £20.00 (extract 80% from our £25.00 free bet) = £14.32 profit
Not 2-0 Chelsea and someone keeps a clean sheet -£25.00 + £19.32 = £5.68 loss

So as things stand we will make £14.32 profit if both teams score.  Unfortunately, we also stand to lose a maximum of £5.68 on any other result and so we need to insure ourselves against this by laying both teams to score at Betfair.  We need to divide £5.68 by 0.95 in order to factor in the 5% commission.  This gives us a lay stake of £5.98.

betfair

Lay £5.98 on both teams to score @ 1.79 = Potential liability of £4.72

Let’s have a look at our resulting potential profit/loss for the following outcomes…

2-0 Chelsea -£5.64 + £5.68 = £0.04 profit
Not 2-0 Chelsea and both teams score £14.32 – £4.72 = £9.60 profit
Not 2-0 Chelsea and someone keeps a clean sheet -£5.68 + £5.68 = £0.00

So if both teams score, we will make a nice profit of £9.60!  If someone keeps a clean sheet, we will break even and there’s no harm done.  If you’re not sure how to extract 80% of the £25.00 free bet refund, please see my Free Bet Strategy page for a walkthrough guide on how it should be done.
