TonyBet Offer – Monaco v Tottenham & Arsenal v PSG

It’s Week 5 of the Champions League 2016/17 and TonyBet are getting in on the action. Place a £15.00 bet on Monaco v Tottenham and/or Arsenal v PSG and if your selected team fails to score, TonyBet will give us a £5.00 free bet. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £7.11 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bets:

This week’s eligible matches are as follows…

Fixture Kick-Off Date
Monaco v Tottenham 19:45 Tuesday 22nd November 2016
Arsenal v PSG 19:45 Wednesday 23rd November 2016

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

Our qualifying bets must be placed pre-match at odds of 1.33 (1/3) or greater, to be eligible.

It’s entirely up to you which teams you go for. Having looked at the odds available for Monaco v Tottenham, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on Monaco.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…

Place £15.00 on Monaco @ 2.80 = Potential profit of £27.00

smarkets white

Lay £14.89 on Monaco @ 2.84 = Potential liability of £27.40

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Monaco win + £27.00 – £27.40 = £0.40 loss
Monaco don’t win having failed to score – £15.00 + £14.60 + £4.00 (extract 80% from £5.00 free bet) = £3.60 profit
Monaco don’t win having scored – £15.00 + £14.60 = £0.40 loss

So, if Monaco fail to score, we’ll make a profit of £3.60. Any other outcome and we’ll have made a small loss of £0.40. Risking £0.40 to make a profit of £3.60, gives us effective odds of 10.00. Given that the odds of a Tottenham clean sheet are 3.30, this is a profitable offer in the long run.

This offer is available on both specified matches. It’s entirely up to you which selections you go for, but here’s what I’ll be going for…

Fixture Selection Back Odds Lay Odds Qualifying Loss Potential Profit
Monaco v Tottenham Monaco 2.80 2.84 £0.40 £3.60
Arsenal v PSG Arsenal 2.35 2.40 £0.49 £3.51

So, as you can see, we’ll lose £0.89 if none of our bets come off, but with £7.11 profit up for grabs, this offer is well worth a shot!

If you’re not sure how to extract 80% cash from a free bet, please see my Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

Free bets will be credited within 24 hours of each match starting and will be valid for 48 hours.
