Unibet Offer – Euro 2016 Money Back

Euro 2016 promises to be a tournament to remember and Unibet are getting in on the action. Unibet are offering money back on all outright (winner) bets placed before the start of the tournament, up to £30.00, if the team we backed is eliminated via a penalty shootout! Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £29.43 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

Qualifying bets must be placed between 22:00 on Saturday 28th May 2016 and 20:00 on Friday 10th June 2016, to be eligible.

Only bets with a stake up to £30.00 will be refunded. Any bet with a higher stake will not qualify for a cash refund.

We are able to back as many teams as we like. Each team we bet on, will be eligible for a refund.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

You can find the Euro 2016 outright market by entering ‘Euro 2016’ in the search box at the top of the homepage or by using the following link trail…

Smarkets > Football > Outright > Euro 2016

We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…

Place £30.00 on Portugal @ 21.00 = Potential profit of £600.00

smarkets whiteLay £30.03 on Portugal @ 21.00 = Potential liability of £600.57

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Portugal win + £600.00 – £600.57 = £0.57 loss
Portugal lose on penalties – £30.00 + £29.43 + £30.00 = £29.43 profit
Portugal knocked out by other means – £30.00 + £29.43 = £0.57 loss

So, if Portugal get knocked out of Euro 2016 on penalties, we will make a nice profit of £29.43. If Portugal win Euro 2016 or get knocked out by any method other than penalties, we’ll have made a small loss of £0.57. Risking £0.57 to make a profit of £29.43, gives us effective odds of 52.63, so given that the odds of Portugal getting knocked out of Euro 2016 on penalties are 5.50, this is a very profitable offer in the long run.

In the event that Portugal get knocked out on penalties, our stakes will be refunded in cash within 24 hours of the match finishing.
