Unibet Offer – Newcastle & Man City

Everyone loves a derby and Unibet are no exception. They’re running a fantastic price boost, perfect for us matched bettors! They’re offering 5.00 (4/1) on Newcastle and Manchester City both winning on Sunday. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential risk-free profit of £14.21 and here’s how…

Price Boost Bet:

Both of the matches included in this price boost kick-off at different times and don’t overlap. Because of this, we can use matched betting to give ourselves a shot at making a risk-free profit by placing a lay bet on the first match and then if Newcastle win, by placing a further lay bet on the second match.

It’s likely that we will all have different staking restrictions for this offer, but the following example is based on a maximum stake of £20.00.

unibet

Place £20.00 on Newcastle & Man City to win = Potential profit of £80.00

Match 1: Newcastle v Sunderland (13:30 on Sunday 20th March 2016)

On the first match, we have to cover our original stake of £20.00.  If we divide £20.00 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £20.41.

Lay £20.41 on Newcastle @ 2.20 = Potential liability of £24.49

If Newcastle win – £24.49 = £24.49 loss
If Newcastle don’t win – £20.00 + £20.00 = £0.00

So if Newcastle fail to win, the offer will be over and we’ll have broken even. However, if Newcastle beat Sunderland, we will have made a loss of £24.49 so far. This means on the next match we will have to cover both the £24.49 and the original stake of £20.00. If we divide £44.49 by 0.98, this gives us a lay stake of £45.40.

Match 2: Man City v Man Utd (16:00 on Sunday 20th March 2016)

smarkets white

Lay £45.40 on Man City @ 1.91 = Potential liability of £41.30

If Man City win – £24.49 – £41.30 + £80.00 = £14.21 profit
If Man City don’t win – £20.00 – £24.49 + £44.49 = £0.00

So, if Man City don’t win, we’ll have broken even. However, if Man City beat Man Utd, we’ll have made a risk-free profit of £14.21!

Please bear in mind that the Man City v Man Utd lay odds may fluctuate before we place that lay bet, which may affect our overall profit figure if both Newcastle and Man City win.
