The Ryder Cup 2016 tees off on Friday and Betfair are getting in on the action! Place a £25.00+ pre-tournament single on the Ryder Cup Outright Winner market on the Betfair Sportsbook, and Betfair will give us a £5.00 free bet on Saturday and Sunday. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £7.42 and here’s how…

To qualify for the 2 x £5.00 free bets, we must place a bet of £25.00 or more on the Ryder Cup 2016 Outright Winner market, before the action gets underway at 11:00 on Friday 30th September 2016.
It’s entirely up to you who you place your qualifying bet on. Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on the USA.

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £24.92…
Place £25.00 on USA @ 1.615 = Potential profit of £15.38
Lay £24.92 on USA @1.64 = Potential liability of £15.95
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the two outcomes…
| USA win | + £15.38 – £15.95 = £0.58 loss |
| USA don’t win | – £25.00 + £24.42 (£24.92 minus 2% commission) = £0.58 loss |
So, regardless of the outcome, we will lose £0.58 in qualifying for our 2 x £5.00 free bets.
Free Bet:
Our two £5.00 free bets will be credited at 12:00 on Saturday and Sunday respectively and must be used on any Betfair Sportsbook golf market. Free bets will be valid for 48 hours and free bet stakes are not returned with any winnings.
By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 80% of the 2 x £5.00 free bets as cash, so £8.00. If we take into consideration our qualifying loss of £0.58, we should make a guaranteed profit of £7.42 on this Betfair Sportsbook offer!
