BoyleSports Offer – The Open Championship 2016 Free Bets

The Open Championship 2016 gets underway on Thursday and BoyleSports are getting in on the action! Bet £20.00 on The Open Outright Winner market and BoyleSports will give us a £2.00 free bet each time our player scores a bogey during the first two rounds. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £14.80 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

We must opt-in on the promotion page to be eligible for this offer.

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

Qualifying bets must be placed pre-tournament. The first group of players will tee off at 06:35 on Thursday 14th July 2016.

It’s entirely up to you who you place your qualifying bet on, but having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on Adam Scott.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

You can find The Open Championship market by entering ‘The Open Championship’ in the search box at the top of the homepage or by using the following link trail…

Smarkets > Golf > Majors 2016 > The Open Championship

We can work out our lay stake by entering our odds into my matched betting calculator…

Place £20.00 on Adam Scott @ 23.00 = Potential profit of £440.00

smarkets white

Lay £19.18 on Adam Scott @ 24.00 = Potential liability of £441.20

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the two outcomes…

Adam Scott wins + £440.00 – £441.20 = £1.20 loss
Adam Scott doesn’t win – £20.00 + £18.80 (£19.18 minus 2% commission) = £1.20 loss

So, regardless of who wins the tournament, we will lose £1.20 in qualifying for our potential free bets.

Free Bets:

For every hole that Adam Scott bogeys during the first two rounds, we will receive a £2.00 free bet by 12:00 the following day. Free bets will be valid for 7 days.

Free bets are capped at £10.00 per day. Therefore, if Adam Scott were to card 5 bogeys in each of the first two rounds, we would receive £20.00 in free bets, from which we would extract 80% as cash, so £16.00. If we take into account our qualifying loss of £1.20, this gives us a potential profit of £14.80 on this BoyleSports offer!

* Adam Scott carded 4 bogeys across his first two rounds, meaning I made a profit of £5.20 on this BoyleSports offer. *
