It’s entirely up to you which horse you place your qualifying bet on. Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to keep my qualifying loss at a minimum and place my qualifying bet on the favourite, Douvan.
Place £20.00 on Douvan @ 2.50 = Potential profit of £30.00
Lay £17.67 on Douvan @ 2.88 = Potential liability of £33.22

I would then extract 80% of these as cash, so £16.00. If we take into account our qualifying loss of £3.22, this gives us a potential profit of £12.78!
