Totesport Price Boost – Native River & Altior

There’s a big day of racing action at Newbury today and you don’t want to miss this Totesport price boost. They’ve enhanced Native River and Altior both to win to a tasty 5/2! Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a risk-free potential profit of £24.00 and here’s how…

Price Boost Bet:

Maximum stakes for this offer may vary for different accounts, but the following example is based on a maximum stake of £100.00.

Place £100.00 on Native River & Altior to win @ 3.50 = Potential profit of £250.00

Race 1: 14:25 Newbury

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

On the first race, we need to cover our original stake of £100.00. If we divide £100.00 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £102.04…

Lay £102.04 on Native River @ 2.04 = Potential liability of £106.12

If Native River wins – £106.12 = – £106.12
If Native River doesn’t win – £100.00 + £100.00 = £0.00

So, if Native River doesn’t win, the offer will be over and we’ll have broken even. However, if Native River does win, we’ll have lost £106.12 so far.

Race 2: 15:00 Newbury

So, if Native River wins, this means on the next race, we’ll need to cover both the £106.12 loss from the first race plus the original stake of £100.00. If we divide £206.12 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £210.33…

Lay £210.33 on Altior @ 1.57 = Potential liability of £119.88

If Altior wins + £250.00 – £106.12 – £119.88 = £24.00 profit
If Altior doesn’t win – £100.00 – £106.12 + £206.12 = £0.00

So, if either Native River or Altior fails to win, we’ll have broken even and there’s no harm done. However, if Native River and Altior both win, we’ll have made a nice risk-free profit of £24.00!

I’d like to point out that the above workings are based on the lay odds that were available at the time of writing. If the lay odds fluctuate before we are able to place our lay bets, this may result in us making more potential profit, less potential or even a slight loss, so please bear that in mind before deciding whether or not to do this offer.
