Target Achieved! Shall I Keep Blogging?

December 23, 2014 / Miscellaneous / 52 Comments

Just a quick post guys to celebrate the fact that my 12 month profit figure is officially £2,136.59, which means I’ve beaten my target of £2,000 by a fair old way!  It was always my intention to run the blog for 12 months and to then make a decision on whether or not to continue, so I’d really appreciate some feedback from you guys as to whether or not you’d like me to keep going…  I’d love to hear what you like most about the site and what improvements you would like to see.  As I’m sure you can appreciate, the blog is very time consuming, but if the demand is there, I will continue.

Definitely want ya to keep it up over here. Been using the site for only a short while now but been loving the work you've been putting in. Sites perfect to me, easy to use and well layed out. I thank you for the time you've put in on behalf of everyone who uses the site. Chuck a few ads or donation buttons to earn some extra cash for yourself ;)

Thanks for your support David. I’m glad you like the layout and find it easy to use. I think I’ll avoid adverts as they can make sites look untidy but I may add a donation button at some point in the near future.

Having just got in to matched betting, this site has been invaluable to me to learn the ropes and give me the confidence on some of the larger stake bets. In terms of improvements all I could wish for is some examples of some of the more obscure offers. If the blog were to stop I'd still really appreciate any matched bets via twitter or facebook.

Quite possibly my most favourite website ever.

Thanks Simon, high praise indeed! I'm going to continue with the blog indefinitely. As I'm sure you'll understand, maintaining the blog and the social media accounts is very time consuming, so I may struggle to cover some of the more obscure offers, though I will do my very best!

It's great to hear that you've found the site useful in terms of learning the ropes. I've always thought that matched betting is just perfect for University students. Would love to hear a bit more about your Uni lifestyle and how much matched betting is helping you subsidise things. Do your Uni mates a favour and get them involved!

Hi, congratulations on reaching your target! I find your blog very interesting to read, very useful in terms of finding the best betting offers and is very helpful for people starting to get into matched betting. I learnt a lot from your blog, and think that there would be enough demand for you to keep going. Thanks for putting the time and effort into it, i'm sure that there are many people who appreciate it. Matt.

Keep up the good work mate! I would be gutted if you stopped blogging.

In terms of feedback, I think it would be better if your sign up offers had a clearer description of how to clear them. Your explanation of how to make each individual matched bet is very good, but there are other sites that make it easier for a newbie to find and clear new customer sign up offers.

Dan, I couldn't agree with you more. When I started blogging 12 months ago, the website was targeted towards people who already had an understanding of matched betting. As you know, I wanted to promote the fact that you can keep profiting beyond the welcome offers. The website is definitely lacking in terms of helping newbies take up matched betting and this is something I want to rectify next year.

Hi mate, would love it if you carried on. Only discovered your site a few weeks back, and although I have a fair bit of experience with matched betting already, I find it helpful to see your methods. You also spot offers that I would normally miss, which is great. I've made £100 profit in the last 5 days alone. Please keep up the good work!

Thanks Alan, I try my best to make sure I don't let any offers slip through the net but I'm sure I miss the odd one here and there. Matched betting has indeed been very profitable recently. The bookies have been kind to us in the run up to Christmas!

I'll do my best Nick. I think I'll be reducing my target for 2015 in the absence of a World Cup or European Championships, but I think we can come close to another £2,000!

There are so many people out there who think that matched betting is too good to be true. All it takes is a little bit of time to learn and understand the maths behind it and you're away! So well done for that Ryan and happy profiting!

Keep up the good work! Helped me a lot to understand matched betting in general, and your well laid out methods help a lot with the more complicated ones. You've also helped pick out some offers I didn't know of. Would be great if you could keep this up during 2015 too! Cheers mate

Please dont stop! Following your site has been funding all of my nights out for the last year, and bought me my ticket to Leeds festival! Also I got my mum to use it and she has bought a new sofa from it. Put a donation page on so that we can say thank you using PayPal or Dogecoin ;)

This is a great blog and I love how you always break the offers in stages and lay it out well, please keep it up!

For slight improvement (on a very good job as it is), I would echo a previous poster and ask if there could be examples of more obscure offers that involve more complex bets.

    Thanks again!

Thanks Andy, I always thought £2,000 would be attainable. It looked like it was going to be a close-run thing at the start of December but the Bet365 offers made it comfortable in the end.

I think your blog is great, I only found this site about 6 weeks ago and read a lot into matched betting, promo's etc. Reading your info made it so much easier as sometimes you're dealing with a few hundred pounds in a lay bet - any mistake and its costly, reading what you write made sense. Please keep it all going if you can, I agree with previous comments, put a donate button on the website. I would like to thank you personally, I have started playing over the last 2 weeks and I am about £100 up and it's all thanks to you, if I can continue like this that would be fantastic! Sometimes I don't make quite as much money as in your examples but that's the market and odds that change i.e. the draw in play odds can really go down. Best Wishes...

Thanks for your kind words. It can be daunting placing some of the more high value bets, but as long as you check and double check, you'll be fine. Making £100 profit in two weeks can happen if there are some big games and the bookies are feeling generous, though I like to say you can make anywhere between £150-£200 in a calendar month. It's always best to factor in a potential drop in the odds when doing your calculations, but like you say, sometimes they can drop more than anticipated. When that happens, I usually place another small in play bet on the draw just to even the profit figures out.

Great site Matt and I have learned a few things here.Only one thing I would suggest. If you could split your emails into offers for Everyone to be separate from new clients only. As I have done all those offers and are no longer eligible anymore.I only seen your site also a few weeks ago.Its a great site and keep up the good work. I have learnt a few new things even being an experienced matched better myself. Thanks again and all the best to a prosperous 2015!
