February 7, 2016 / NFL / 9 Comments

Kick-off time (GMT): 07/02/2016 : 23:30

Guaranteed profit
£6.10

It’s the Super Bowl 50 tonight and you don’t want to miss this Coral offer. Place a £20.00+ bet on any pre-match market on Super Bowl 50 today and Coral will give us a £10.00 free bet to be used on any Super Bowl 50 in play market. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £6.10 and here’s how…

Coral Offer - Super Bowl 50

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

To qualify, we must place a Win Single bet of £20.00+ at odds of 1.50 (1/2) or greater on any pre-match market on Super Bowl 50 today (Sunday 7th February 2016). Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on Denver Broncos winning (Money Line).

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator…

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £18.98…

Place £20.00 on Denver Broncos @ 2.875 = Potential profit of £37.50

smarkets white

Lay £18.98 on Denver Broncos @ 3.05 = Potential liability of £38.90

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Denver Broncos win + £37.50 – £38.90 = £1.40 loss
Denver Broncos don't win - £20.00 + £18.60 = £1.40 loss

So regardless of the result of Super Bowl 50, we will lose £1.40 in qualifying for our £10.00 free bet.

Free Bet:

Our £10.00 free bet will be credited upon qualification and can be used on any Super Bowl in play market tonight (kick-off: 23:30 on Sunday 7th February 2016). The free bet will expire at the end of the match.

By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 75% of our £10.00 free bet as cash, so around £7.50. If we take into account our qualifying loss of £1.40, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £6.10 on this Coral offer!

Are Smarkets likely to have have in play markets? Save for win / lose markets.

    Hi, thanks for the post.

For qualifying bets, Coral has the option of CoinToss in favour of each team, whereas Smarkets has CoinToss Heads/Tails.

What do I do Can you help?

    Thanks

Apologies Callum, that's an oversight on my part and I've corrected the post. If you've already placed that bet at Coral, you can lay either team to win the toss at Betfair.

The coin toss market on Smarkets only has the option of heads or tails rather than Panthers or Broncos (which is the Coral market) so how did you place your qualifying bet?

Bit late to stay up for £6. I think I value my sleep at at least £10 an hour!

Does any one know if there is any problem betting on the same markets with both bets? I.e backing Broncos to win with qualifying bet and then again with in-play bet?

That shouldn't have been a problem mate.
