Betway Offer – Rugby World Cup 2015

New Zealand get their World Cup underway on Sunday and if you fancy them to defend their title, don’t miss this Betway offer. Simply place an outright winner bet on the Rugby World Cup 2015 and if the tournament is won by New Zealand, Betway will refund losing bets with as free bet up to a maximum of £20.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £13.54 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

This promotion is valid until Friday 25th September 2015. Having looked at the odds on offer, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on South Africa to win.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges. We can calculate our lay stakes using the matched betting calculator.

Betway

Place £20.00 on South Africa @ 7.50 = Potential profit of £130.00

smarkets whiteLay £17.90  on South Africa @ 8.40 = Potential liability of £132.46

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the three outcomes…

South Africa win +£130.00 – £132.46 = £2.46 loss
New Zealand win -£20.00 + £17.54 + £16.00 (extract 80% from our £20.00 free bet) = £13.54 profit
Neither South Africa or New Zealand win -£20.00 + £17.54 = £2.46 loss

So, if New Zealand win the Rugby World Cup 2015, we will make a nice profit of £13.54. Any other outcome and we’ll lose £2.46. Risking £2.46 to win £13.54, gives us effective odds of 6.50. Given that New Zealand are currently odds of 2.25 to win the World Cup, this is a profitable offer in the long run.

If you’re unsure how to extract 80% of our £20.00 free bet, check out my Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
