In Play Bets

  • I’ve done a few in play offers lately, like the Laddies one and this week’s Bet365 offer. What strategy do people use for placing the free bet in play? I spend ages comparing markets but the odds are always far apart from the exchange. Are there any markets to look out for to get the most out of the free bets?

I’ve essentially been gambling and backing over/under goals and then holding my breath for a couple of minutes while the odds dropped back on the exchange enough to match the odds of the back bet. Been lucky so far but I realise this isn’t the way forward.

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I usually go for the 2 – 1 or 3 – 1 correct score bet (in favor of the favorite team) and this has worked out fairly well so far. Only issue is if its still 0 – 0 at halftime you tend to take a hit unless there is a goal early in the second half.

Ladbrokes you can normally get low ql on btts market. Do the order of your back/lay bet to remove risk if a goal goes in whilst placing bets. The free Ladbrokes bet can be placed before kick off as long as one the right game
I struggled last night on a decent match for the 365 offer. Smarkets didn’t help with being slow or halted market, got on 3-1 at half time in the end. May revert to dutching the next one as for the sake of hoping to get a few extra quid I could made that elsewhere with the inplay odds searching!
