Also because the margins are fairly tight its worth calculating exchange odds fter commission to make sure there’s still an edge – https://www.bettingtools.co.uk/commission-calculator

    Hi Poker, awooga, harris, super

For the slow thinkers could you state the calcs stage by stage for the “Not to Place/Place” bets. (I can’t get to your figures using Tricky or oddschecker)

I asume you need to do this on mobile to get “Not to Place” on Sky.

    Thanks guys

    No worries.

So using the Apples Jade example from earlier, you could put £50 on her NOT TO place at 2.1 at SkyBet, you could also place £50 on her at the same price (after commission) TO place. And so for every £100 total staked across the two bookies you would make £5, so a nice 5% ROI.

With V V Mag at 6.5 not to place and 1.24 to place, for a £100 total bet you would need £16 on her not to place and £84 on her to place to return close to £104.

Basically you want to find a runner where for opposite outcomes the book is at less than a 100%, like any other arb really. Just play around with odds and stakes on the oddschecker dutching calc and you’ll get the hang of it soon enough 🙂

    1. Open up dutching calculator, input total stake at default £100
    2. Find odds of Not to place, input into calculator
    3. Find back odds of place, input into calculator
    4. See if calculator states profit
    5. If profit, adjust total stake to your liking.

As a side note it seems to me like there’s greater chance of arbs appearing in low runner races

Ive put 100 on callno not to place at 2.10 and to place is 2.3 At odds of 2.3 you should bet £93.96

Overall position if Bet A wins £16.04
Overall position if Bet B wins £16.04 im using tricky bet
    and 200 on getabird at 2.25 sky lay 2.06 = 12.69
