Anyone With Experiance Where Would You Start Tomorrow After The Free Sign-Ups?

  • Hi,
Just a quick question to the guys with abit of experiance if you where starting again tomorrow and all the free sign-up offers where completed where would you start on your £500 P/M quest ?

Ive done most of the sign-up offers other then the really high cost ones Ill just wait another few days to try those but I really want to start somewhere to get going with this I know the sign-up offers arent really the meat of matched betting so tomorrow I`d like to move past the sign-ups and onto the next stage but just alittle confused with all the different offers and betting techniques ect so if you where me guys what should I start to do from tomorrow ?
    Cheers James

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

the main thing you need is experience itself. As you make more bets you will get better and better at finding close odds matches and see how the exchange markets move. you need to hone your skills on existing offers and more complicated offers to really get a feel for the techniques involved before you can move on to more advanced strategies like accas and each way arbs etc.
The best thing to do is continue with existing offers and focus on making the lowest qualifying loss possible, and extracting the most profit possible so that it becomes second nature. then progress to horse racing and get a feel for the way it works, its very different to football or other sports because the odds move very quickly and things can go wrong. just take your time and learn by your mistakes. Although it won’t feel like it at the time, making mistakes will actually do you a massive favour in the long run.
once you are ready there are plenty of threads about various other ways to make money, or keep an eye on Matts blog for any offers that you haven’t attempted before.

Also, I’m just assuming here, but you will probably need to build your cash pot before you can start doing the more advanced stuff, so just keep doing the ongoing offers and earning more and more. once you start with the horses for example, most bets will be around 8/1 and above, so you’ll need a lot in the exchange.

    Good luck

Tony C I would recommend you give those a go yes. Keep it simples

Jim anything where its a free bet for one thing occurring is the best approach. So I’d recommend money back 2nds on horses but maybe more any football bets to start with (horse odds moves quicker).

If you haven’t already done so, just follow Matt’s blog for about £100/week.

Be patient – the offers will come.

Hey Guys thanks so much for your replys much appreciated !
I had already done a fair few free sign up football offers and completed a couple more offers Ive had sent to me since joining William Hills sent me a free £15 and so did P a d d y power both of which Ive completed along with placing mug bets on both those sites so I will still continue with the football sign up offers I still have some to complete.

But I feel ready to try the horses I can place footie bets with serious speed now 🙂

So money back 2nds is a good place to start can I find a quick walk though guide anywhere I`ve no idea how it works ?

Again thanks alot for the replys cheers Jim

Thanks again for the advise everybody, Ive gone though the guides on this blog and looked at the offers at the bookies although Ive not placed a bet this is how I`ve started to understand things if this isnt correct please let me know 🙂

So I find a bookie thats offering a £25 refund for 2nd place ( should I stay clear of the races with all the little add-ons like only paying out if the horse finishes second to the SP favourite or if your horse finishes 2nd by 5 horse-lengths or more? That just seem to make things really difficult or am I reading too much into it ??)

I check out the top 5 favorite horses in each race, work-out which one of the top 5 favorite horses in that race gives me the lowest qualifying loss, Back and lay that horse

Do this for all the races that day which maybe 5 racers and hopefully at least 1 of those 5 horses backed will come in second place ?
Is that about the size of it ?

you’ve more or less got it, with a couple of caveats – first if you do every race every day you will get gubbed pretty much immediately, secondly there are very few bookies who offer the straight up “refund if 2nd”, they almost always have 2nd to SP, or hills hi5 or some have “money back if the horse you back is 2nd to a horse with longer odds”.

so with that in mind, you are best off betting on races that are televised on itv on saturdays to start with. these are the ones that have the most offers attached per week, and also the most popular so hopefully you will blend in better.

Until then, I suggest you have a trial run – find some races today and pick a horse and watch the odds on the exchange and at the bookie, you will see how quickly the odds move, especially 10 minutes before the off.

A good tactic is to find a race where there are lots of bookies doing offers and back a few different horses in the hope of hitting one.

Hey thanks so much for all the help and advise here, Its really helped clear a few things up although it all does still look like alot of hard work Im guessing you guys can go though a days matching in no time once you internalize the process and Im hoping I`m the same I have always picked things up fairly quick

I was just wondering what you guys thought to match finding software like Profit Maximiser Matched Betting Software it doesnt seem that expensive if it does what it says it can do and saves as much time as the sales page says ?

I’ve started using oddsmonkey – should have used it from start. Saves loads of time, has some good tutorials and calculators and helps maximise FB extraction %. Also came across some new customer offers I didn’t know about. Easily paying for itself £15/month, stop anytime.
