Tennis Arb – Tomic v Evans

  • Im feeling generous so will share this one.

Obviously check and double check before you put on, both rules for tennis bet settlement and odds.

For the past half an hour, Tomic has been trading around 10-15 clicks lower on Smarkets than it is on some of the bookies.

I got on at 5.5, layed at 4.5
Then again at 4.5 and layed at 3.35

Seems like a honey trap i know. I dont think i have made a mistake. But if i have, someone call me out because i need to rectify before game over.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

And as if by magic, 1 minute later at least one bookie has reigned it in!
    Sorry.

It’s a live in play match. You are just seeing swings in the prices, which admittedly will contain timing arbs but it’s not a normal price arb for an event not yet started

    Haha,

nah. Been doing this for a couple of years and i know how markets work. Made a considerable amount of money from this business too.

This was legit. Stayed there for a good half an hour. Bookie constantly about 15 clicks out.

Im not stupid. Thanks for assuming i am. Keep them to myself tomorrow.

15 clicks out during changeovers when prices settle i might add.

    Sigh.

I have written guides on matched betting.

A couple of years ago i did get stung on a live market. B’ball not tennis. Wandered into something i knew nothing about, saw what i thought was a crazy good arb only for it to turn out to be a time delay. Once bitten twice shy.

As i say though, and you can disbelieve if you want, no skin off my nose, this was not just a time delay. This was an ongoing profitable disparity. Happens rarely but with a bit of experience you might start to pick up on the fact that certain bookmakers make the same mistakes over and over.

    Ignore them Wottsy.

Even as an inexperienced rookie – I’ve jumped on this sort of thing before although I didn’t take full advantage of it as I thought it was an error. Looks like they were behind the match at all times and I only managed to make a £15 profit on it overall when really it could have been hundreds or more.

You keep making that ££ and feel free to share any with me! 😀

What do you look out for wottsy. Is it only in play? Is it a certain bookie? Certain player?

U can’t pull that shit with matchedem around, he’s the master at claiming things!

Seriously though if you have got an edge fair play, use it and make loads or share it properly – but posting in here asking for help on a bet sounding like u missed a point, then getting all defensive claiming to be a pro when someone makes a point doesn’t help anyone

    Fair enough.

I dont want to give too much away as it can take ages to find these inconsistencies and as soon as people pile on, they wont be there much longer.

The one i mention here was from a certain soft bookie. Very slow at moving prices at the best of times – hot spot for arbs. Have managed to stay beneath their gub radar for a good while now and hopefully it continues. The first spot was entirely fortuitous. Was checking out odds on oddschecker and said bookie stood out like a sore thumb. Since then i have been checking out the first 10 minutes or so of Aus open games i am awake for to see if i can get anymore.

This thread has made me chuckle (for several reasons), but it has been pointless unless you are gonna name the bookie and make it worthwhile? Seems like a blatant brag post otherwise, no?

My money is on Stan James btw 😉
