New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.
Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.
Not read the full terms but any short price favourite that has a good price match should be lumped, should hit quite a few £100 free bets
Money back second just usual standard
+0Although the finish second offer and lose by at least 5 lengths is not great at all
+0Good spot harambe I reckon it’s one that’s defo worthwhile. Marv remember the winner has to win by 5 or more too. 2 ways I can see to approach:
1) there are often a number of arbs on will Hill anyway…so back these and u are up whatever. Then if the situation comes in its a bonus
2) find races with short price favourites…then either back the fav hoping for the 1st place bonus or 2nd fav hoping the fav wins and u come 2nd by 5 or more. Taking a small loss on either. This will be very judgement based on the value of the race itself. Also might find there aren’t that many races with 6+ runners and a short priced fav
One thing that really excited me was it is available in store…Until I saw that was for sp bets only! William Hill seem to be doing that a lot with sp and taking my match betting hat off its not a bad idea to be able to offer punters value yet make them of little interest to us!
+0not seeing this on the website. Any links?
+0So in practical numbers.
As Marv has said money back 2nd by 5 l not really that good so focus on winner.
You find a short fav say 1/2. You put £800 on to win £400 + 25% win boost of £100 free bet. Seems impractical. If you stick to a more conventional stake like £20 then the win boost is only worth £2.50FB on this short fav and not only does he have to win but he has to win by 5 lengths….
So look at barters hill in Cheltenham is 2/1. So you back and lay like £200 for imagine £10 QL. If he wins by 5 lengths your free bet is £100 = £80 real money. That’s effective odds 7/1. If you check out the lengthen the odds gimmick on betvictor they offer 9/2 for to win by 5 lengths so I guess a decent boost there. Now if you had taken a £15 QL (3.0/3.2) for a chance at £100 free bet then effective odds 5.33. So you would get better value punting your £15 on betvictor lengthen the odds thing ( which we know is bad value )….
So as with all offers keep QL down and remember you always have a comparison for value against the betvictor thing.
+0Well done fog I was about to write similar saying that 400 is the key number. If your an experienced matched better these often get lumped before the race and if you can for example back at 1.5 and lay at 1.48 your QL will be minimal or profitable based on your favoured exchange.
For all other bets that are not odds on favourites I would just do 25 quid bets. Even if it’s 8/1 and wins you will get a 50 bonus. Also the chance of bog is on as well and if a favourite does steam in it can create this on the rest of the field.
Final thing to note as well would be the distances of the race. I would say the longer the distance the more chance of the field being spread out.
Also hurdles and fences would make a huge difference as well I would predict.
+0Good luck getting £800 on 1.5 favs at Hills for too long as well!
+0Based on the health of my account I would be allowed 20 on a 1/2 shot but as banned from promotions it is pointless.
Still if you treat it like a mbs 2nd offer it reminds me of the days last year where this was so profitable.
+0My initial thought was dont bother with anything above 6/4 ish, then becomes harder with keeping qualifying loss down and ultimately starts to make it less likely of the 5 length plus win margin
£800 on at 1/2 might stand out, however placing these bets moments before the off, together with the fact it is a odds on favourite, bookies hate people taking early prices on big prices, to me the latter is where you will get gubbed quick
Lumping on odds on favourites is what bookies want mug punters to do, just maybe dont make it obvious you are trying to win an exact £400, keep that random
+0Health of account?
Well I used to be a mug punter, and some accounts have been open many years, quite frankly for anybody starting out, mug betting for a month before starting on any free bets in my opinion might prolong the account
+0So I usually find 5/6 arbs on william hill a day at least FACT
Meaning if these are on jumps racing thats vallid they will be free chances at winning these bonuses. Defo a worthwhile offer…do apprecihate your comments tho
+0Some say that he finds 5/6 arbs on william hill per day, AT LEAST.
Some say that he once won £1000 on hitting 5th on an extra place golf offer on sky despite being gubbed there.
Some say that he got a free bet for the losing first goalscorer off sunbets EVEN THOUGH the match was never televised.
All we know is that he is called the “matchedem”.
+0Haha well played Fog love a sense of humous almost as good as mine!
+0Chickpeas?
+0Think I’ll just stick to the £25 stakes for the money back seconds and if they win by 5 lengths or more then its an added bonus.
