Man City are the visitors to Old Trafford on Sunday and you don’t want to miss this 10Bet offer. Simply place a £10.00+ pre-match bet on either Man Utd or Man City to win and if our selected team wins the match to nil, 10Bet will double our winnings up to £25.00, in free bets! Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £17.76 and here’s how…
Qualifying Bet:
If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.
Qualifying bets must be placed between 00:00 on Thursday 7th December 2017 and 16:30 (kick-off) on Sunday 10th December 2017, to be eligible.
To qualify, we must place a £10.00+ bet on either Man Utd or Man City in the ‘1X2 FT‘ market. If our team wins the match to nil, 10Bet will double our winnings in free bets.
The maximum free bet is £25.00 and this will be credited within 24 hours. Free bets will be valid for 7 days and free bet stakes are not included in any returns.
It’s entirely up to you which team you go for. Having looked at the odds available, we could place our qualifying bet on Man City.
In order to work out our back stake, we need to divide £25.00 by 1.25 (back odds minus 1.00). This gives us a back stake of £20.00, which is perfect as it’s best that we stick to round numbers when placing our qualifying bets.
I like to place my exchange lay bets with Betfair as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and if we opt in, they are charging just 2% commission on Premier League Match Odds bets until 3rd January 2018.
We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…
As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £19.40…
Place £20.00 on Man City @ 2.25 = Potential profit of £25.00
Lay £19.40 on Man City @ 2.34 = Potential liability of £25.99
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…
| Man City win the match but not to nil | + £25.00 – £25.99 = £0.99 loss |
| Man City win the match to nil | + £25.00 – £25.99 + £18.75 (75% extracted from £25.00 free bet) = £17.76 profit |
| Man City don’t win the match | – £20.00 + £19.01 = £0.99 loss |
So, if Man City win the match to nil, we’ll make a nice profit of £17.76. Any other outcome and we’ll lose £0.99. Risking £0.99 to make a profit of £17.76, gives us effective odds of 18.94. So, given that Man City are odds of around 4.00 to win to nil, this is a profitable offer in the long run.
If you’re not sure how to extract 75% cash from a free bet, please see my Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
* Man City won the match 2-1, resulting in a loss of £0.99 on this 10Bet offer. *
