BetVictor Nottingham Forest v Watford Penalty Refund Offer

I love the offers from BetVictor because their odds are some of the most competitive around.  If a Penalty is scored at any time during the Nottingham Forest v Watford match, BetVictor will refund losing Correct Score, First/Last Goalscorer, Scorecast, Half-Time/Full-Time & Anytime Goalscorer bets as a FREE BET up to £10.00.  Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £7.20!  And here’s how…

Whenever I do these sort of offers, I always stick to the correct score market.  I find the liquidity at the betting exchange is far better than goalscorer markets and I just feel more comfortable here.

We need to select a correct score and hope it doesn’t come in, as only losing bets are refunded in the event of a penalty being scored by either side.  Having looked at the odds on offer, I’ve opted for a 1-1 draw.

Step 1:

Place £10.00 on 1-1 draw @ BetVictor @ 7.50 = Potential profit of £65.00.

Lay £9.68 on 1-1 draw @ Betfair @ 7.80 = Potential liability of £65.82.

Step 2:

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the various outcomes…

1-1 draw

£65.00 – £65.82 = £0.82 loss

Not 1-1 draw with penalty scored

-£10.00 + £9.20 + £8.00 (Assumes an 80% return from our £10.00 free bet) = £7.20 profit

Not 1-1 without penalty scored

-£10.00 + £9.20 = £0.80 loss

So we will win £7.20 if the game doesn’t finish in a 1-1 draw and there is a penalty scored!  If no penalty is scored, we will make a maximum loss of £0.82, which I’m sure you’ll agree is a risk worth taking as the odds of a penalty being awarded are around 3.75.
