Premier League and Championship football returns this week and you don’t want to miss this Coral risk-free bet offer! Simply place a £1.00+ bet on any football market from any league in the world and if it loses, Coral will refund our stake as a free bet, up to a maximum of £10.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £5.86 and here’s how…
Key Terms:
- Minimum stake of £1.00.
- Applies to our first losing football bet, placed between 08:00 on Monday 15th June 2020 and 23:59 on Friday 26th June 2020.
- If our bet loses, Coral will refund our stake as a free bet, up to a maximum of £10.00.
Qualifying Bet:
Losing stakes are refunded as a free bet, so we can treat this as a risk-free bet offer.
We’ll need to place our qualifying bet at long odds in order to maximise our profit.
Having looked at the odds available, we could place our qualifying bet on Arsenal to beat Man City on Wednesday 17th June 2020.
At the time of writing, laying our bet at Betfair is likely to give us the biggest guaranteed profit.
Betfair are currently offering new customers 0% commission up to £500 for the first 30 days.
If you’re an existing Betfair customer, you can opt in to pay just 2% commission by selecting their Basic reward plan.
For more information about My Betfair Rewards and how to opt in, please see my Betfair 2% Commission page.
We can work out our lay stake by using the ‘Risk-Free Bet’ setting on my matched betting calculator. We can enter £8.00 as our ‘Cashback’ figure as this is the amount we can expect to extract (80%) from our £10.00 free bet refund, should our bet lose…
As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £8.04…
Place £10.00 on Arsenal @ 8.50 = Potential profit of £75.00
Lay £8.04 on Arsenal @ 9.60 = Potential liability of £69.14
Outcomes:
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…
| Outcome | Bookie | Exchange | Extracted | Profit/Loss |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Arsenal win | +£75.00 | -£69.14 | £5.86 profit | |
| Arsenal don’t win | -£10.00 | +£7.87 | +£8.00 | £5.87 profit |
So, no matter the outcome, we’ll make a guaranteed profit of £5.86 on this Coral offer!
If eligible, our free bet will be credited within 24 hours of our qualifying bet being settled and will be valid on any sports market for 7 days. Free bet stakes are not included in any returns.
If you’re unsure how to extract £8.00 cash (80%) from a £10.00 free bet, check out my Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
* Man City beat Arsenal 3-0, resulting in a profit of £5.87 on this Coral offer. *

Guest userI won my bet with Coral and now I need advice.
The T&Cs say they will refund your first losing bet, the t&cs also say the refund applies to your first settled bet.
So does the offer apply just on your first settled bet or your first losing bet?
IE if I place another £10 bet will they refund me if it loses?
Matt
1593You’re right Ally in that the terms are a little ambiguous.
I would say it’s best to err on the side of caution and assume it applies to your first settled bet, be it a winner or a loser.
If you wanted to, you could always try another bet to see. Just lay it via the standard method to keep your loss minimal and see what happens.
Ally
Guest userI won my first 2 bets on coral but just lost my 3rd bet. They have credited the £10 to me so it must be “first losing bet” rather than “if you lose your first bet”
Matt
1593Great stuff Ally! Thanks for confirming.
George
Guest userHas this offer been cancelled?
Can’t see it on Coral website.
Matt
1593No it’s still available George. You could try clearing your cache to see if that helps.
bob
Guest userIt’s not showing for me either, we’re possibly gubbed. Luckily I have like 5 coral accounts so I’ll check the others

Guest userIt shows but when I click in it say expired even though it hasn’t. Cleared cache and still nothing and as usual I can’t trust a word that a Coral operator says! Deffo not gubbed as claiming the bet in play offer everyday? Anyone have any thoughts?
Matt
1593There’s no opt in required, so you could just place a qualifying bet and see.
I would probably advise you do a standard lay rather than an underlay and hope it loses, just to minimise the risk in case the free bet doesn’t appear.

Guest userI’ve got the same with the new coral HT offer Matt! But still no problem with other offers… it’s odd.
Matt
1593Hmmm, did you try your luck with the risk-free bet offer in the end?
Harry
Guest userGot lucky and qualified this on villa… so got the HT offer on it as well. Nice.
Matt
1593Very nice indeed Harry! Well played.
