The Aintree Festival 2019 gets underway on Thursday and you don’t want to miss this SportPesa offer! Simply bet £20.00+ on any horse at Aintree on Thursday and Friday and if we back the winner, SportPesa will give us a £10.00 bonus to use on any Aintree race the following day. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us an overall potential profit of £14.00+ and here’s how…
Key Terms:
- Minimum stake of £20.00.
- Qualifying bets must be placed at odds of 2.50 (6/4) or greater.
- If our selected horse wins, SportPesa will give us a £10.00 bonus.
- We can only claim one £10.00 bonus each day.
Qualifying Bets:
This offer is available on Thursday 4th April 2019 and Friday 5th April 2019.
If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
It’s entirely up to you which horses you place your qualifying bets on. Having looked at the odds available for the 13:45 at Aintree on Thursday, we could place our qualifying bet on Glen Forsa.
At the time of writing, laying our bet at Smarkets gives us the biggest potential profit.
We can calculate our stake using my matched betting calculator…
As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £19.69…
Place £20.00 on Glen Forsa @ 5.00 = Potential profit of £80.00
Lay £19.69 on Glen Forsa @ 5.10 = Potential liability of £80.72
Outcomes:
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…
Outcome | Bookie | Exchange | Extracted | Profit/Loss |
---|---|---|---|---|
Glen Forsa wins | +£80.00 | -£80.72 | +£8.00 | £7.28 profit |
Glen Forsa doesn’t win | -£20.00 | +£19.29 | £0.71 loss |
So, we’ll make a nice profit of £7.28 if Glen Forsa wins, otherwise we’ll lose £0.71. Risking £0.71 to make a profit of £7.28 gives us effective odds of 11.25. So, given that Glen Forsa is odds of just 5.00 (4/1) to win the race, this is a profitable offer in the long run.
We can qualify for one £10.00 bonus each day, so if our first bet doesn’t win, we can continue to place bets on Aintree until we pick a winner and trigger the £10.00 bonus. That gives us an overall potential profit of £14.00+ on this SportPesa offer!
If eligible, bonuses will be credited before the first race (13:45) the following day and will be valid on races at the Aintree Festival 2019 for 24 hours. Bonus stakes will not be returned with any winnings, so we can treat them exactly the same as a stake not returned free bet.
If you’re unsure how to extract £8.00 cash (80%) from a £10.00 stake not returned free bet, check out my Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
I’ll update the following table with some actual selections at the end of each day…
Race | Selection | Back Odds | Lay Odds | Profit/Loss |
---|---|---|---|---|
13:45 Thursday | Glen Forsa | 5.00 | 5.10 | -£0.71 |
14:20 Thursday | Fakir D’Oudairies | 4.333 | 4.40 | -£0.61 |
14:50 Thursday | Kemboy | 3.25 | 3.40 | +£6.85 |
14:50 Friday | Lostintranslation | 4.00 | 4.20 | +£6.76 |

4Hi Matt, is there a way to lock a profit in with this offer?
Matt
1537If your horse wins, you should be able to extract £8.00 cash from the £10.00 bonus. £8.00 is 40% of your £20.00 stake, so the option is there to add 0.40 onto your back odds when using the calculator.
I didn’t mention that method for this particular offer though as I don’t think the small guaranteed profit is worth bothering with.
