Betsafe Offer – Six Nations 2016

The Six Nations is well underway and Betsafe are getting in on this weekends’ action! Simply place a £25.00 pre-match bet on any Six Nations match this weekend and Betsafe will give us a £10.00 free bet to be used in play. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £46.50 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

This weekends’ eligible matches are as follows…

Fixture Kick-Off Date
France v Ireland 14:25 Saturday 13th February 2016
Wales v Scotland 16:50 Saturday 13th February 2016
Italy v England 14:00 Sunday 14th February 2016

It’s entirely up to you what you place your qualifying bet on, as long as you place it at the minimum odds of 1.50 (1/2) or above.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stakes using the matched betting calculator.

Aim to lose no more than £1.00 on your qualifying bet

Free Bet:

Our £10.00 free bet must be used in play on any of the Six Nations matches taking place this weekend. When we place our free in play bet, we must check the “(FB amount) Free Bet” box on our betslip.

With a limited number of in play markets available, I’m not overly confident that we’ll be able to extract 75% cash from our free bet. I’ve therefore resorted to using this free bet as a punt.

If I were to place my £10.00 free in play bet on a winning selection at odds of 6.00, I would have winnings of £50.00 that would need rolling over once (at odds of 1.50 or above) before I’m able to withdraw. Using straightforward matched betting, I should be able to extract 95% of the winnings as cash, giving me cash returns of £47.50. If we take into account our qualifying loss of £1.00, this gives us a potential profit of £46.50!

I will update the bottom of this blog post with my actual in play selection after the match.

* I actually placed my free in play bet on there being no tries in the match. France scored a late try, meaning I made a £1.00 loss on this offer. *
