The PDC World Darts Championship 2019 gets underway on Thursday and Unibet are getting in on the action! Simply place a head to head bet and if our player loses the match but hits the highest checkout, Unibet will refund our stake in cash, up to a maximum of £50.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £100.00+ and here’s how…
Key Terms:
- To qualify for a refund, we must have placed a head to head bet on the PDC World Darts Championship 2019, which runs from Thursday 13th December 2018 until Tuesday 1st January 2019.
- If both players hit the same checkout, no refunds will be awarded.
- If eligible, all bets between £1.00 and £50.00 will be refunded.
- Qualifying bets must be placed pre-match.
- If our player loses the match but hits the highest checkout, Unibet will refund our stake in cash.
Qualifying Bets:
If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
It’s entirely up to you who you place your qualifying bets on. To illustrate how this offer should be done and having looked at the odds available, we could place a qualifying bet on Alan Tabern to beat Raymond Smith.
At the time of writing, laying our bet with Smarkets gives us the smallest qualifying loss.
We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator…
As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £47.17…
Place £50.00 on Alan Tabern @ 2.00 = Potential profit of £50.00
Lay £47.17 on Alan Tabern @ 2.14 = Potential liability of £53.77
Outcome:
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…
Outcome | Bookie | Exchange | Refund | Profit/Loss |
---|---|---|---|---|
Alan Tabern wins | +£50.00 | -£53.77 | £3.77 loss | |
Alan Tabern loses but hits the highest checkout | -£50.00 | +£46.22 | +£50.00 | £46.22 profit |
Alan Tabern loses and doesn’t hit the highest checkout | -£50.00 | +£46.22 | £3.78 loss |
So, if Alan Tabern doesn’t win but hits the highest checkout, we’ll have made a profit of £46.22 and we stand to lose a maximum of £3.78 on any other outcome. Risking £3.78 to make a profit of £46.22 gives us effective odds of 13.23, which I’m sure you’ll agree, makes this a profitable offer in the long run.
There doesn’t appear to be a limit on how many times we can qualify for this offer, so we should be able to bet on as many matches as we wish.
If eligible, our cash refunds will be credited within 48 hours.
I’ll update the following table with some selections throughout the tournament…
