Sun Bets Offer – US Open 2017

The US Open 2017 is in full swing and Sun Bets are getting in on the action. Simply bet £25.00 on any US Open 2017 in play market on any day of the tournament and Sun Bets will give us a £5.00 free bet to be used on the following day’s play. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £32.50 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bets:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

We can qualify for one free bet each day of the tournament, with Saturday 9th September 2017 being the last qualifying day for a free bet.

To qualify for each free bet, we must place a single bet of £25.00+ on any US Open in play market at odds of 1.50 (1/2) or greater. With this in mind, it’s probably a good idea to stick to the Match Odds markets. Qualifying bets must be placed between 00:00 and midnight each day.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator.

Free Bets:

Our £5.00 free bets will be credited within 24 hours for use on any US Open market the following day. Free bet stakes are not included in any returns.

By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract at least 70% cash from each £5.00 free bet, so approximately £3.50. If we take into consideration our daily qualifying loss of £1.00, we should make a guaranteed daily profit of £2.50.

Given that we can qualify for 13 free bets over the course of the tournament between Monday 28th August 2017 and Saturday 9th September 2017, this gives us a guaranteed overall profit of £32.50 on this Sun Bets offer!

WARNING: The retirement rules at Sun Bets state that Match Betting bets will be void in the event that a player retires before the match is completed. Such bets are only void at Smarkets and Betfair if the first set hasn’t been completed. This means that if your player’s opponent retires after the first set has been completed, your bet at Sun Bets would be void and you would lose your lay bet at the exchange. It’s rare that this happens but if you would rather not run the risk, you can dutch your selection at another bookmaker (with the same retirement rules) rather than laying it off at the exchange.
