1st round 3 balls quick question

Got a risk free bet and I want to use it on the 1st round 3 balls market for the British Masters.

Is a 1st round 3 ball the player with the lowest score over the 1st round of golf?

1st 3 round ball starts 28/9/17 and my bet has to be settled by the midnight on 29/9/17- so is the 3 ball guaranteed to be finished by the end of the 29th?

I know FA about golf as you can tell 🙂

Basically a 3 ball is a mini tournament by the 3 players therefore dead heats are common.
