Anyone gubbed by skybet recently?

  • Received the dreaded e-mail two days ago. What I’m slightly angered by isn’t the fact I was restricted, it’s that they are failing to offer all free bet promotions i qualified for before the restriction. So I had a tenner on France to win the euros and they won’t honour their 3 quid free bet promotion.I sent them a fairly pissed off e-mail, but they clearly won’t do anything about it. Oh well, getting gubbed from sky is pretty much the final nail in my matched betting coffin. It’s been fun!

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

“good at matched betting” I had my account for over 9 months you utter fucking wankpuffin. This forum was bad enough last time I visited it — seems now it is utterly infested with utter mongoloids such as yourself. You braindead prick.

Was just pointing out the ways to keep a sky account as they are one of the most easy going to any other board member which read this. Not sure what your point was anyways do you want sympathy that they will not honour your 3£s or a goodbye as you state you will not be match betting much longer?

My point was that I’m now restricted by sky, which puts an end to matched betting. I also made the point that I was angry I’m not going to be awarded the free bets. All of this should’ve been clear from the above paragraph — but I guess some knobheads on here are too focused on dick-waving to actually perceive things properly.

    Maybe not another piss taker…

No one knows what triggers the gubbings other than using free bets , it’s a mystery.

Usual words about them having to honour any offer you took up BEFORE knowing you were gubbed apply.

If you’re that bothered about the £3 free bets then threaten to contact the regulator etc…

Can see why you’d be annoyed, same happened to me with Hills on the eve of Cheltenham, but they DID honour the free bets I had qualified for.

Without wanting to temp fate, I would agree with the sentiment that Sky seems to be one of the easier bookies to keep sweet – couple of spins on the slots, the odd poker sit n go… seems to do the trick.

I was gubbed by skybet recently too.

    My story (should you care)…

I did about 5 or 6 mug bets to every bet with a money back offer.
I played plenty of SkyVegas and SkyCasino. In fact I was up about £200 with SkyCasino playing Roulette and was initially restricted from any offers or bonuses from Vegas and Casino but continued to get my free £5 every week for another 2 months.

For the mug betting I mostly did dutching on foodball so as to loose nothing or make a penny or two.To be honest i don’t know why i tried with so many mug betting, I thought it was worth trying to keep sky but to be honest I’d never had any luck with any of the money back specials. Maybe got 2 in the 6 months I had the account. I was good at backing winners though! Maybe mu gubbing reason was as I was backing winners on the MBS offers they want me to do less of them! Fair enough, they are a business who think I have taken about £2000 out of them!

What really annoyed me was the wording of their email…

“We’re writing to remind you this account requires tighter liability management. Unfortunately this means the account will not be eligible for any of our free bet promotions (including Sky Bet Club and Money Back refunds).

This includes bets already placed on our Euro 2016 outright offer and all other offers from now on. ”

It was the word REMIND that got my goat. Like they already told me or something. And yes to cancel the free bets you had done an offer for BEFORE the email is pretty underhand. But again it’s their business and I won’t complain on how they run it.

I appreciate it is easy to gloat when you still have your accounts. I’m not too bothered anyway it was fun while it lasted. I’ll miss their website as it was one of the nicer ones to use. Anyway between dutching and the odd arb with them its not the end of the world, probably make £5 a week from them still.
And look forwards to moving house when I can start it all again! :p

Most people on here do care ccr… we all know it’s a kick in the balls to lose a good account. Some people probably don’t mean to wind people up but they don’t think before writing.. which is easy done on a forum like this with lots of people who are all in different moods sharing ideas.
