At what point do you quit?

I am gubbed by Betfred, SkyBet, BetBright, 888, William Hill, Paddy Power, Bet Victor & Totesport. Can money still be made in your view, or is time to throw in the towel?

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

How pathetic is it the jealousy that people have from others winnings!
+0J,not jealousy at all about other peoples true winnings.
What people object to is the bullsh1t posted by matchemed.
Anyone can come on here and post fictitous profit figures.
Yesterday at Punchestown there were only 2 fallers I believe both in the same race and both at 100/1 so it would have been impossible to get decent matches on them.Fallers have been few and far between this month.
At the start of the month matchedem started a thread about his fallers but he soon stopped it as he wasnt having any success.
The guy is an imposter and needs help.
+0I’m gubbed at all those, plus Betfair SB, Apollobet, Coral, Bet365, Ladbrokes, Titan and SeanieMac, I’ve still got vics somehow though.
I still make around £1k a month, you just need to find other ways of making money. as someone said, there are plenty of threads on how to diversify. I’m also willing to bet that there are dozens of sign up offers that haven’t been done. The bookies themselves may be crap but they do have free money for the first bet, so do that and don’t go back.+0Very true deathstar.
Its surprising how when one door shuts, another one opens.
I make the same as you but it requires lots of work for me similar to “normal” employment.I started Nov 2014 and have been closed or heavily restricted from most of the books.
Still going though and funny enough, still earning roughly the same as when I had all the books. The more you get restricted/closed and lose the low hanging fruit, the more you have to dig deeper to get the money.
+0Is it the claims of how much he made that irk you? Or is it the way he claims to have made them? It’s not like £1.4k is an outrageous amount (although I agree that faller insurance offers little value). If you look at the Oddsmonkey monthly profit threads, for example, a high percentage of users consistently make more than £1k per month, with some making more than £2k.
+0Agree with matchedem and deathstar. Similar position to both as are many of us and all have adapted into different areas so just shows how much opportunity is out there.
For those claiming matchedem profits are made up – I don’t understand. It’s hardly that implausible to make 1k+?
+0Fallers insurance is not that profitable on its own but add in probably a few arbs on the qualifiers and probably quite a bit of bog and I can easily believe where the profit is coming from. It seems to cover a lot of races across a lot of bookies so making up for the small Roi by getting a big volume of bets I’m sure.

Mark Corrigan to answer your question – its both
I dont like the smell of bullsh1t.
Now if matchedem was prepared to post his selections before the results were known he would have credibility – but of course he doesnt but its all in his amagination.
I dont know what he does for his day job, indeed even if he has one, but it is clear that he has real issues in wanting to come over as the Mr Big Bollocks,
Like most of those characters ,in the real world they indeed have small bollocks.
+0Tbh mate I’ve got MASSIVE bollocks but can’t pick a bet for shit!!… so ya kno, the two aren’t mutually exclusive
+0Well this got a bit weird!
+0adder – your avatar gives me the willies!
+0Haha don’t worry about my figures, just know i’m putting my time into areas with a much larger roi. I’ve ‘piped up’ because the forum is going down hill, a minority like some of the above post useful information but is hard to find as people flood the forum looking for handouts or even worse bragging about profits.
I agree Fog it would be profitable but it’s the level of profitability versus effort and cost, in my opinion you can put your time and money into other places for a much better return. This is why i find it ridiculous how he’s trying to say his methods don’t take much effort but to me backing and laying 40 horses in the hope for bog or a faller is exhausting even to think about, if he can do that day in day out hats off to him
+0Perfectly feasible to be turning over 1-2k a month with gubbed accounts. I’ve been clearing those figures since December.
Also, I’ve found that my old William Hill and Paddy accounts have become unrestricted so getting £50 ew on horses at 33/1 isnt a problem.
+0Excellent post Jay89.
Got to look at time and effort.Certainly a lot harder these days than it was, especially if you dont want to give up other interests on a Saturday.
