Best & worst bookies websites
-
Having done most of the sign ups (barring Bet 365) it has been interesting looking at the usability of bookies websites and how their quality differs in terms of layout and functionality.
In my opinion the best 3 are:
1) Sky Bet – very simple lay out, easy to navigate & good functionality allowing you to upload funds whilst placing a bet.
2) Bet Bright – another one that is simple to use and navigate although the extra step in confirming bets can catch you out.
3) Ladbrokes – Ease of navigation, access to their exchange and good in-play functionality.Whilst the worst are:
1) 888 Sport – a real mess, I have a lot of problems loading horse racing on desk top (not on mobile though) and the search function is rubbish. It’s just a shame they run those nice offers that I have to use their site to get them.
2) Betfred – no matter what I do, it won’t change its display to Decimal, so I rarely use it.
3) William Hill – looks about 10 years out of date and takes ages to find anything on it.+0April 8, 2016 at 11:10 am

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I personally couldn’t give a monkeys about navigation and functionality. All that matters is being able to get a bet on and not having the account closed.
+4“All that matters is being able to get a bet on” – that’ll be the navigation & functionality you don’t care about then…
+1Can’t agree on betbright. I broke wind while doing the intro offer and they must have got a whiff of it. Even faster gubbing than racebets
+1That’s down to the ***holes running the show behind the scenes not the quality of the website though.
+0He means getting a bet on as in not being restricted.
+0Sky really are the best. UI is simple effective and everything is quick to find. Live/in-play works smoothly. The promotions/bonuses are clear and never hidden away.
Why must B365 rely on flash?
Would agree that Hills site is very clunky and dated. Surely having a poor site must impact how much/often people bet?
+1Betsafe are a terrible bookie bad website crashes all the time..
+0Get regular offer updates, tip and tricks, big offer alerts and more straight to your inbox.
Was thinking about this myself recently and totally agree with the OP’s no.1 spot for 888sport. A horrible excuse for a UX.
+0How can you suggest Ladbrokes is top 3 for website UI?
Are you retarded?
Also if you haven’t used Bet365 before, get ready for a flash based bunch of absolute sh|t
+1Agreed. I believe OP has Ladbrokes in the wrong list! It looks like a dogs breakfast and barely runs on some browsers, especially the my account section…although depositing always seems to run without a hitch! Strange……
+1Johnson – I must be by replying to someone like you.
Ladbrokes is fine – easy to navigate, quick to get at the promos & boosts, good in play options. You get your bet on quickly and efficiently, you don’t have to scroll for ages to see your betslip – therefore it fulfills its function. I only ever used it on Chrome and I don’t believe I’ve ever used it on mobile so can’t comment on how it performs on other platforms.
+0I did forget about Betsafe too. Another mess of a site, although they’ve just given me a fiver for filling in a survey, bless ’em…
+0I like you murtock, you have sass.
Anyway don’t see how you can like Ladbrokes website…but whatever floats your boat.
In general most of the bookmaker websites are terrible.
If someone could make a bookie with Betfair’s functionality, and maybe take a few things like the colour scheme and the pop-up search from smarkets that’d be grand.
I’d keep Bet365’s videos as well. But don’t let them auto-play…nothing worse than being 14″ deep into a supermodel like Gisele and suddenly your pc starts playing commentary on a 3rd division Albanian handball game in the background.
+0Genuinely lol’d at that last bit, so true.
+0That’s funny – I like me as well.
Albanian handball you say…
