Favourite (and least favourite) bookmaker accounts and why – general observations

  • My favourite accounts are-

Bet365 – good offers (feature races and 2 up) with excellent prices.
Paddy Power – money back 2/3/4 plus Paddy’s weekly club are decent but prices are dreadful.
William Hill – 2 extra ew places combined with odds boost is useful.
Sky Bet – good regular pickings but got gubbed really quickly.

    Least favourites-

Betfred – can’t seem to find any regular decent offers here
    Coral – same.

any thoughts on these observations and what is the best way to preserve Bet365 – especially with Cheltenham coming up.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Coral have been quiet on the offers front for a long time now, though Betfred churn them out on a pretty regular basis.

It’s always difficult to advise on how to “preserve” an account as there are so many different theories on what works and what doesn’t.

My view is that if you want to blend in come Cheltenham, you should probably place a few horse racing bets between now and then and not necessarily on their 4/1 offer races. I wouldn’t overdo it though as bookmakers will expect more customers to come out of the woodwork anyway for a big festival like Cheltenham.

    Favourites:

Paddy: Great earner – regular boosts, refund races and random free bets/risk free offers. Good for 2ups and the bet club, as well as the beat the drop free game.

Coral: The daily in-play offer is a decent regular profit, a shame that the half time offer from the back end of last season didn’t continue – hopefully that will return again one day!

Will Hill: All about the 2nd place races for me on there – looks like we might have them daily in the lead up to Cheltenham which will be great. Daily horse boosts help with this too.

Skybet: Solid regular earner with football boosts, refund races and in play football offer regularly, along with the bet club. Some decent casino offers too if you like that sort of thing.

Bet365: Only in recent months have I stepped up my activity on there getting involved in the 2ups and the in play offer (progressed up from £5 to £10 and now £25 – hoping for that £50 one day!). Very good prices, and they randomly issue the odd £10 bet credits which is nice.

Betfred: Gubbed a long time ago but I enjoyed it while it lasted. Pick your punt was a fun advantage play and the in play offers were simple straightforward profit. Never did that well on their refund races.

Unibet: Lots of in play football offers at the moment and their 15 to go Horse offer on the weekends can be very profitable. 3 daily horse boosts as well to top up your profits.

Betfair sportsbook: Another that has become a bigger part of my daily activity – the daily acca offer provides regular consistent profits and their same game Premiership multi offer is good when it comes along. 3 daily horse boosts now as well.

Pokerstars Sports: Regular offers including risk free, in play free bets and another 3 bet free bet offer which is tricky but has value. Occasional random bet x get y offers too.

Ladbrokes: Daily spins offer was about a good as it got, aside from the occasional random free bet offers. Gubbed now but I enjoyed the daily spins.

Betbull: They love their accas over there. Decent sign up and occasional decent reloads too. Not aware of anyone being gubbed by them either.

Least favourite: Novibet (stake restricted during reload offer), Kwiff (terrible odds and never get Kwiffed), Grosvenor (don’t get much apart from the odd small boost and even they’ve dried up), SportPesa (good sign up offer during Cheltenham last year but zilch since), Betway/The Pools/Mansion (ok offers but gub very quickly if you use them)

Coral fail to finish offer is pretty good I find. Just pick the right races and horses, and try to get a close match.
