New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Managed to do it perfectly after my footy match today when wba were 1-0 up. Got 11 pounds profit and the token to come!
+0Perfectly? You mean you didnt lay and gambled that wba would take the lead….
+0I put it on Man city to win at 1.8 with £17. Cashed out at half time for 27.28 rather than waiting for the full £30
+0Done this for the first time. Ultra safe me put £20 on Real which would have netted a massive £2.80 profit. 2 up and just cashed out for £1.50 profit, plus the £10 freebie. That’ll do me.
How often do SkyBet do this offer?+0Dockie…did you not read what I put above? you’re free bet is equal to your cashed out profit…therefore to get £10 free bet you need to profit £10…therefore as I said you need to stake a massive amount, wait until the end of the game and cash out just before it finishes and then youll get the full£10 free bet and don’t have to fanny about with risking the bet to suddenly go wrong etc.
+0Ha ha, no!! Oh well a free bet of £1.50 it is then. Think I might mug bet that one…
+03.We’ll match your profit as a free bet, up to £10. What a plonker.
+0Oops Dockie, sounds like you’ve misunderstood the terms of the offer 🙁
Sky do this once or twice a month iirc. It’s not all that great an offer tbh, you need to do what Ryan (keeps!) saying to make it work best
+0Yeah, everyone above made this so much more complicated that it needed to be. Pick a team you think will win say odds of 1.5. Bet say £30 and lay it. Therefore the bookie bet will return £45, £15 profit. Hopefully, your team is winning just before the 90th minute cash out for around £42…the more the better, you will have lost say £1 qualifying bet, and also £3 less returns from your bookie bet, but now you have the £10 free bet happy days. Also, when you cash out 90th minute you have a very slim chance of a goal going in and the lay stake winning also which would be very unlikely but amazing!
+0Yeh as tony said the offers are now and again a few quid to be made each time
+0Yep, didn’t read them properly and feel suitably chastised by RyanB. I’ll pay more attention in class next time.
+0thanks for explaining this one guys, pretty simple backed & layed Roma at HT so lost £ 2.30 overall as ended a draw but rather happy as a good £50 mug bet
+0So I assume you didnt manage to cash out since your bet lost? I backed the draw 60th minute £20 evens…however, return was £40 even in the 92nd minute I waited as long as I could and cashed out for £36.23 therefore £3.77 less, if you counter in my £1.15 qualifying loss…£4.92 even if we get say £8 from the £10 free bet, £3.08 profit its not brilliant really is it. I guess a profit is a profit nevertheless.
+0To say the least I made a complete hash at this. Put £25 on Derby to win £38. They just about managed to sneak the win. 89th minute it would only allow me to cash out for £33, so I lost more on the qualifying bet, plus I am not going to have the full £10 for the free bet.
PITY MUN.
To go with that, I placed the United bet before the game started so ended up losing nearly £4 on the qualifying bet. FFS like..
Bad time at the office today.+0Yes I did it that way. I feel now with some promotions if the odds are in your favour before the event starts then there is less of a need to lay it. Each time your losing 2% on Smarkets or 5% Betfair playing about with it. Was quite pleased that I cashed out at the right time before it all went wrong as on other occasions the enhanced accy would have gone on to win.
Been doing some accys on Paddy Power, Bet Bright, Ladbrokes and William Hill with all odds between 1/3 and 1/5 and it has been going ok. Hamilton and Inverness did not help today but mixing and matching the lines means some victories and tokens have been won!
