Cheltenham…..

  • I wasn’t Matched Betting this time last year so I have nothing to compare it to. But I was expecting far more offers to come rolling in. So far we’ve had an admittedly good offer from Coral and then two offers from Hills that they’ve subsequently refused to honour. The SkyBet offer looks really good. But it’s nowhere near as great as I was anticipating. I’ve booked the Cheltenham days off work. Was it worth it?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

What do you mean about hills refusing to honour? I’ve missed this one

Hey @Matt, can we get this guy his own sub-forum! 😛

Really @CashedUp – I think that the Sky offer is a belter – it is basically a sure fire £20-£25 a day (so £80-£100 profit over the festival)

I agree that Hills have been a bunch of cnuts when it comes to withdrawing their offer, but they seem adamant (on twitter) that they will still be delivering something decent. Then you have money back 2nd on ALL races with PP and others I believe.

The Coral offer is another sure fire £50-70 over the festival (possibly more if you decide to punt some of these free bets) and then

Not really sure what more people are expecting tbh, admittedly this will be my first MB experience of Cheltenham, so perhaps things have been better in years gone by? Perhaps @patrick can tell us, he seems to be the old hand on here! 🙂

Betfair 3/1+ THREE free bets is worth 5 to 10 per race first day = €40 to €80
Skybet money back if lose first race is worth €15 plus per day = €60+
Paddy Power (you can do in store if gubbed), Will Hill and Ladbrokes will probably all do money back 2nd for another maybe one free bet per day = €20 * 4 days * 3 bookies = Another €240.

They will probably have boosts too.

Coral also have the 4 free bets for placing 4 bets on C4 racing on the weekends, Will Hill you will have earned 3 free bets already before they cancelled it.

Coral also bet on the first race on day 1 and get a free bet for every Willie Mullins winner.

There is at least €400 to be made in the 4 days. I’ll be happy with that.

This year’s offers so far on the table are the best thete has ever been.
Sky’s moneyback is a belter plus all the others as stated by Fog_Blog.
2 years ago Coral did an offer whereby if you bet £25 on the 1st race every day you got a matched bet to use on a later race that day,but they didnt do it last year.
Also in the past PP has done an offer whereby if the favourite won the 1st race of the meeting ,they gave you your money back as a freebet.

Also PP and Coral gave a number of price boosts last year.

PP used to do price boosts every 30 mins from 12 pm giving 4 price boosts in total. These PP boosts were very generous and a good earner.Corals came through randomly and applied to mobile only.

CashedUp seems typical of the new breed of MB’s who want something for nothing and get greedy.

Also a number of bookies seem to improve their welcome offers over the 4 days.

I saw a promotion a few days ago for William Hill offering £100 in freebets after making an initial bet of £10. That is a cracking offer if anyone has been able to get it.
From memory the promotion code was PR100

    Cheers Patrick, good info.

I’ve heard Ladbrokes will be doing the money back in first races if the fave wins.

Another tip,be wary of the enhanced place offers at the last minute.
Corals did a few enhanced place offers last year after non runners meant the number if runners dropped below 7 neaning that their offer only paid out fot 1st 2 but betfair and smarkets still had 3 places.
If your selection with Corals finished 3rd you lost and if you layed it you also lost.
