Am i doing this right?

  • I am new to matched betting and want to make sure I am doing it right. If I have made a mistake or mistakes please tell me.

I have placed my first bet to get my free bet. It was a football bet. It was a £5 back bet with Coral to get my free £20 bet. The lay bet was with betfair exchange. My bet with Coral won and I got £8.75 back (£5 stake and £3.75 winnings) . Obviously my lay bet with betfair lost and I lost £4.

    So that means

I started with £5 with Coral and I now have £8.75 + my £20 free bet. I now have £28.75 in my account.

I started with £10 with betfair and I now have £6

That means I now have to do my free bet with Coral. I have some questions to ask before I do that

    1) When I am doing the free bet odds calculator for my free bet with Coral do I choose stake not returned or stake returned?

    2) What is the difference between stake returned and not returned when doing the odds calculator? Am I right in saying with my first bet with coral because I got my £5 back from my bet and my £3.75 winnings that would be classed as a bet with stake returned?

    3) When doing the odds calculator does whether you choose stake not returned or stake returned depend on which bookmaker you are placing the free bet with?

    4) When I place my free bet with coral do I only bet my free £20 bet I got with Coral or do I place a bet of £28.75 which is my £20 free bet with coral, my initial £5 deposit and £3.85 winnings from the first bet with Coral?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Nice work Mozzer I knew I had seen those questions before somewhere but couldn’t remember where. Why do people like to waste time like this they really need to get a life.

I see Mozzer is a keyboard warrior who likes insulting people.

Yes I asked the same questions on 2 forums. I did that to cross reference the information/replies I received.

Yes I did read the guides and yes I may be a bit of a nervous Nelly. I would rather ask a few questions than loose a lot of money.

Ennogs. People are taking time to answer your questions – and it does take time to give a reasoned answer sometimes.

I’m a bit disappointed that I have wasted my time replying to you when you are getting your info from another source.

If you are nervous then just sign up to sky will hill etc. Matt puts dozens of step by step guides every day on offers from the same old bookies. Read them and follow them by word. You can’t go wrong.

    Read the blog guides.

I get the impression though that this isn’t going to be for you.

I can predict the next comment saying my bet won in the bookie I now have £1000 of mine own cash stuck as bonus funds what do I do!?

Ennogs people may be sounding brutal but everyone here is trying to help you, we can’t emphasis enough Matched Betting is not risk free if you don’t fully understand what you are doing. Getting involved with bookie sign up bonus’s which involve rolling over funds can cost people thousands. I am the best to know, as less than a year ago I too was new to this and decided to sign up to Winner such a regret I have and I would avoid all these kind of bookies at all cost until you have done all the main stream bookies and fully understand what you are doing.

Hope it goes alright for you though!
