Bet365 4/1 Offer

  • Just looking at this can I guarantee a profit by adding £20 (75 extraction) to the odds before working out my lay stake and I`m presuming the odds need to be higher than 4/1 at the off rather than when I place my bet?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

There is a thread on this…that tells you exactly what to do just search for it

@jamiea you basically just add 0.8 to the odds at the bookies and then lay below your odds to extract a profit but personally I just take the qualifying loss and hope as I have had 2 winners in the past 4 days and because of best odds guarenteed have made roughly £190 out of those 2 winners with a qualifying loss of around £7 so £183 profit in total.

Usually from the £50 risk free you can get around £40…so you got around £100 with BOG Shaun? that’s crazy! Odds must have changed massively!

They did I took 6.0 originally and the price on the lay changed massively and I finally laid it off on a wing and a prayer at 10.5 for a big massive loss of around £22 and they then paid out at 8.5 so it paid off this time, was sweating for awhile then.

Cheers Ryan I did find the thread after posting. Gonna try n keep it simple put 25 on find a horse as close to 5.0 as possible and lay odds within 0.8 and just lay at 30. Should make 4-5 quid more often than not.

Does the best odds guarantee mean if the starting price goes up you get that?

Yes Jamiea, best odds guarantee means you get the better of the SP or the Price you took (really should be called better odds guaranteed).

The 5:00 at chepstow looks promising. I got Shadaii at 5.5/5.9. Him and Kayf have been touching 5.9 on the exchange here and there this afternoon.

Its a decent race to try it out anyway.

But jamiea within 0.8 isn’t really going to be close enough.

    Backing £25@5.0.
    Laying £30@5.8.

You will be paying out £144 at exchange and only taking in £100 + £25 free bet at bookie if the horse wins. You need to get much closer.

So yes, you win about £5 (minus commission) when you lose (about 4 in 5).
But you lose ~£24 when you win (about once in five).

Just a quick one, I’ve read the T&C’s and it reads to me though if you back at 5’s and the price drifts in to 4.33 that you still get the free bet – just wanted to check if anyonme had any experience of this?

I’m on Kayf Charmer in the 5:00 @ Chepstow but he’s currently at 4.33

Its the price you take after deduction for rule 4 non runners. So as long as you bet @5 then it doesn’t matter what the SP is provided there are no non runners.

    Great, thanks Ryan.

There was a non-runner which I can’t recall if it was declared when I placed my bet but I backed at 5.5 and the reduction factor is 3.4% so shouldn’t be a problem.

Also a new rule I learnt last week off someone here is if the horse is above 14/1 when it becomes a non runner then there is no rule 4! So in reality anything with a reduction factor of 5 percent or less should mean we are always ok. Had the winner in that backed at 5 and laid at 4.2 for 70 so happy days. Now done the risk free bet but have to match this early in case odds change. Sometimes I take a five pound loss of the odds drift when I place the qualifier and it goes on a massive drift

Do they announce the feature races the night before or in the morning?

In case anyone falls victim to it, the Channel 4/1 and Feature 4/1 are different offers. For example, if you backed a winner on the last race of the day and it was Feature 4/1 (i.e. tonight), then your free bet won’t be on the first Channel 4/1 offer race tomorrow.

    Thanks Mark,

That would be a very easy mistake to make!

Yeah! I fell into the trap several months ago and of course didn’t get my stake returned from the following race the next day – I asked on chat and they said my risk free bet will be on the next Feature 4/1 race (probably the Monday).
