Betfair cashrace

  • I usually stay clear from this as I feel switching to betfair from smarkets just for the cashrace actually results in a loss after you take into account the extra 3% commission you have to pay.

However since the oddsmonkey update that gives betfair 2% commission i’ve been using it regularly and the double points on football the past nights i’ve been placing large lays to reach the targets. Turns out i’ve easily achieved this!

Only £118 not sure if others are bigger than this. Does anyone know if they just credit my account with this or what happens?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Yes, they normally credit it the day after it finishes (so in this case I think it will be 1st November).

I’ve just reached goal 2 and should hit goal 3 by next weekend. Quite enjoy this, it feels a bit like working through wagering requirements and I like the challenge aspect of it.

    Is that your 3rd target?

They’ll still wait til the promo has finished before crediting. Just adds to your balance but will show on your account statement too.

£118 when you don’t normally use Betfair…. You must churn through some lays!

Remember the 2% offer is only for first £300 commission.

I don’t get it? Is target 3 of £118 a big target or something?

Well still getting 2% so guess i havent hit that yet!

Seems quite big if you aren’t using it much. Mines 63, although I didn’t really get very far in the last one so expected lower targets.

I have no idea how they work it out.

Well before the oddsmonkey i rarely used betifar only occasionally, but now i’m just using betfair at the minute.

I’ve just completed my final target tonight thanks to Giroud’s Arsenal goal as I backed a couple of first goalscorer price boosts at 5.0 and managed to lay at 4.7. The implied points being doubled tonight have taken me over the points target.

Just downloaded all of my bets for the last few weeks and my top target was £61. I’ve paid £92 in commission and would have been paid around £60 using Smarkets (bearing in mind not all markets are available on Smarkets and a lot of my Betfair bets were on the Premier League which is 2% this month).

Paying £32 more in commission to earn £61 = £29 profit – most of the bets would have been placed anyway though I do seek out price boosts and arbs when the cashrace is on to get through it quickly.

A year ago my top target was £10, then £18, think it was £45 in the summer so probably be up to around £80-£90 next time but I very rarely use Betfair aside from laying the odd accumulator or market that Smarkets doesn’t offer.

Not sure how they decide the targets.. my top one is £190 and i’ve been fairly inactive on there the past few months. Won’t get anywhere near the target, neither did i the last cash race. Did hit some big ones prior to that though, so possibly playing a part.

I beat you all! I’m 95% complete on target 3.

There might be value in rolling over some of the cash race on the Saturday Acca Special.
