Betfair Cheltenham Cash Race Progress

I was just wondering if anyone has managed to reach their respective target in the Betfair Cheltenham cash race offer (https://cashrace.betfair.com/)? If not, how close are you to reaching it? Also, what are the respective targets that people have? My first target (probably the only one I have a hope of reaching) is £47 and I’m currently at 22%.
I love this offer for two reasons:
You don’t need to do anything different to what you’d normally do on the exchange.
I’m going to Cheltenham on the Tuesday so I’m hoping it will be a bit of bonus spending money!

Done this the last couple of times its run, if it’s the same this time you recieve the final total you reach. So if it’s 1 – £50, 2 – £70, 3 – £100.

I’m not sure why? But you do. + the more losses you have an betfair and wins with the bookies your target goes up a lot faster. You don’t get many points for wins
+0Really? I thought points are calculated by the amount of commission you paid to betfair on your winnings (losing on bookies).
Didn’t realise there was a winter cash race too. This is the first time I am aware of this promo… how many times a year do they do this cash race?
+0If you go to the Cash Race page the ‘How are points calculated’ explains it pretty well.
If on 5% commission it’s basically 0.5 points per £1 won or lost.
+0Ok so they actually accounts the ‘implied commissions’ on losing bets too, which explains why the progress would go up faster when you lose to betfair.
Also the reason why the second and third targets are easier to hit once you achieve the first is because the gap between £0 and your first target i.e. £50 is huge, hence needing the most amount of points.
If your second target is £70, the gap now is only £20 so the amount if points needed is less than half of what you would need to achieve the first target.The same goes for the third target.

Double points on the horses today, should see me smash it, and then hopefully the 2nd and 3rd targets soon after judging by what others have said above 🙂
They run this 2 or 3 times a year I think. I would imagine your normal activity level on Betfair will have a lot to do with the target levels they set you. That and possibly whether you have “cashed” in one of these promos before.
+0Tony, I saw the double points for today’s racing on Betfair a couple of days ago, but I can see no sign of it now. Is it all today’s races or just certain meets?

It said all UK, IRE and US horse racing when I saw the banners last night

Low amounts though probably due to not laying before the beginning of January.

+0Should have completed my first target of £75 today for around 5000 points. Managed to make some great progress where I managed to lose 2.8k on sky to put into betfair with the fav promo. They have since called and emailed me to see if I am ok with my gambling.

So right about the 2nd and 3rd targets being quicker. Went from 96% of Target 1 yesterday to 74% of Target 2 today. My targets are very modest, but it all adds up!
