Betfred Restrictions

  • Been gubbed and restricted by Betfred for a while but have still been able to get reasonable stakes on my bets to keep the profits going but…

…today, it seems my account is limited to £10 max wins 🙁

Anyone else had this and do they lift the restrictions at all or is the account finished?

Gutted because have had the account for ages and was hoping they would continue letting me do my £20 EW bets etc but seems they’ve finally had enough of me!

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I was gubbed, then gradually restricted and recently, I’ve achieved the holy grail – they’ve stopped taking bets from me altogether.

Betfred/Tote are my longest surviving accounts. I’ve had both original ones standing since 2015 and had a load of free bets from their Bet 3 Get 1 Free offers or Money Back Seconds. Havent done them since they chopped the free bets to £10 but I still use both accounts to ew arb, sometimes on the same horse to make up stakes. I’m restricted to £25 on the boosts but think thats normal after a few months and I hardly do them anyway, 90% of the time the Saturday boosts are rubbish. A guaranteed £2 or potential £5 on the underlay doesnt appeal to me in the slightest. I guess that has preserved the accounts no end.

I wonder how they make their decisions because they seem to treat people differently. They bonus banned and restricted me to pennies in one fell swoop a few years back. They was almost as vicious as Stan James! And that was before i was arbing, so the only betting profile they could have had was a few bonuses and a few mug bets. Lads and 365 were the same, but will hill and coral only restricted me to winning £500 so i can still get a fair whack on with them.

I’m not gubbed but restricted on most boosts with Betfed. I do believe that Betfred are one of the more lenient bookies along with Coral and WH, however. Of the big bookies, Ladbrokes are the worst for restrictions/gubbings, imo.

Strange one, the account has been used entirely for qualifying bets and arbs, for like a year and a half!

The restrictions seemed to get tight a few months back but eased off and I’m hoping the same will happen again after leaving the account alone for a while…

Still got another account to work with, might go back and try Tote sport again…

LOL Mr Crispy, took every damn last bit of profit you could from the buggers, nice one 😉

Having multi accounted, I think Betfred will pretty much let you do all their ‘bet and get’ offers no problem, but they absolutely hate people taking arbs when qualifying for horse racing offers.

If you take an arb on an extra place race, or money back 2nd race, they will gub very quickly.

With arbing, I think the trick is to place mug bets after hitting a few winners, there seems to be some automated rating system- my latest restriction has followed a lot of winners that seems to have tipped the scales too far…

I’ve just had a new account gubbed within 2 days.

No winners and a couple of hundred down.

I know they use IESnare which I don’t block on my phone so probably down to that.

Brings back memories. Friday night dundalk card, betfred offers…. was pretty much just getting the proper hang of this thing one year ago

Now I can get about 1.50 on with Fred, but more with tote. Only fairly recent they were this drastic though and gubbed. I did well out of them

Bob u sure Iesnare affects phones? I thought it was a file they downloaded onto your pc, so not particularly easy to push through a mobile browser

Betman, you still able to bet OK with Tote?

Would be gutted to lose them also as Fred has been a really good account to have.

Have you checked to see if your betting restrictions at Fred have been loosened a bit, I’ve heard this can be the case but maybe once they put you down at £1 stakes it’s account over lol!

    More but not loads

I had 15 eway on whichever horse I got a place with in the bad each way race the other day. Think it was at 12-1 so I suppose 180 win exposure isn’t awful
