Finding Good odds?

  • Anyone any tips for finding good odds on matches? Low for Qualifying & decent for free bet etc

I seem to spend ages just trying to get tight odds.

    Cheers Again

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

usually win/draw/win markets for qualifiers and correct score or HT/FT for freebies.
you can sign up for a free oddsmonkey account. the markets will have a 20 minute delay but it will give you an idea of what the odds are doing.

I get mine delivered via carrier pigeon 😉

Seriously, perhaps you could start a SINGLE thread in the newbie forum and ask all of these questions there? Better yet, perhaps try using the search function as most of these questions have been asked before. Several times.

Just so you don’t think I’m being mean though, here’s a tip for any Sky Bet free bets you earn – use them on boosted correct score in the football. You can almost always find a 12/12 or similar there. Good luck

Also, don’t kill yourself looking for a tighter match just to save 50p. Your time is worth more than that, hopefully 🙂

In fairness, this question isn’t necessarily for newbies. I’ve been matched betting a while now but my method (and perhaps mad) is not to extract as much as possible. One of the ways I use to try and keep attention away from myself. I make an adequate profit and touch wood have only been gubbed by a couple of smaller bookies. But I actually won free bets on the betfair offer today which I’m gutted about ha. So now have to try extract 80% whereas I’ve never before worried too much about it. Only two days to use them so I’m nipping up a bit ha! That coupled with the fact I’m so busy at the moment I’m keen to find ways of quickly finding tight odds. Albeit I have been troweling the forum for existing posts rather that start a new one here.

Almost any horse race with a decent number of runners will yield some close odds near the off. If you don’t have the time to look then spend the £15 per month and join Oddsmonkey. Their free version is pointless as all the close matches are gone by the time you see them, 30 minutes after everyone else!

    Horse races.

Can very very easily find odds such as 12/12 etc..and doesn’t even take much time to be honest!

    I got Exosphere @ 15.00 and laid @ 13.50 😉

He won the race so nice £50 risk free bet extracted £47.59 from that, and I got £62.25 of the qualifier as I underlaid him booooom

Cheers for the input! Following your advice I have found some ace odds with my free bets and extracted more than the 80%. I have to say I worry though, I did get a few from oddsmonkey. I just feel going with horses (which I rarely do) and long odds horses to, is a sure way of getting my account flagged up! Paranoid android!

depends what you mean by long odds for horses. 7/1 odds can be the favourite in some races. I would say a horse with long odds is 50/1 and above, but we all know how absolute no-hopers romp home.
I think your concern about using free bets on horses when you only bet on footie usually *could* flag you up, but as you get more experience you will start betting on horses anyway.
