First big mistake
-
Can someone help me feel better? I’ve made my first big error, I cashed out on a boost that I’d underlayed, so only would have profited if won. It looked to be miles off winning so I cashed out my back bet. A flurry of late goals meant it would have won, so I lost my lay bet too.
I am a pillac!

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Don’t feel bad, it’s all part of the learning experience and that’s a mistake you won’t be making again! My worst mistake was not noticing that the amazing lay odds I’d found on a horse race were the PLACE odds not the win odds. The horse came second and I lost both back and lay sides of the bet – it wiped out a whole weekend of profits and I was spitting!!

Gutted for your loss, but it’s helped me+0I’ve made my fair share of mistakes over the years, @martwelton13.
Try and think of the money lost as an investment towards being a more experienced matched bettor. As Neil said, it’s a mistake you won’t make again.
