Football; First Team to Score vs 0 – 0 Correct Score betting
-
Hi there,
Am I missing something?
A certain bookie (I won’t name names incase they change it and plus I’ve seen it fairly often with others) have a discrepancy in the afore mentioned odds for tonights football.
Correct Score Market: 0 – 0 Odds 12
First team to score Market: None Odds 15One would be better for extracting a free bet then the other obviously but surely they are both dependent on the score being 0-0 as they would both loose if any team scored.
basically I’d like to take the No first team to score odds from the bookie and lay against the 0-0 score on smarkets. I can’t see any problem with that…. can you?

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Some bookies treat own goals differently for some markets, that may be the cause of the discrepancy. Best to check the rules for each (and the exchange, for that matter). Can work in your favour, or against, depending on the rules.
+1Also check first player to score market, number of goals market etc.
First player to score market is possibly the best, because I believe that if it ends 1-0 with an own goal then clearly you would lose the 0-0 bet but you still win No First Goalscorer bet.
Its just shows how much the bookies odds are a rip off. Two punters have the same bet a tenner on no goals. The bookie pays one guy 150, and the other 120 and pockets the 30 as extra profit …..
+0In mug betting terms never bet on 0-0 ,always no goalscorer market.
Odds normally the same but with no goalscorer you win when its1-0 with an own goal,+0
