Got an idea but is it legal?

  • If i was to open an online bookies myself and offered loads of offers all the time. Like bet 50 get 50 bet 20 get 20 etc. But the catch is you could never withdraw. Basically aimes at matched betters trying to lose at my bookies but win on the exchanges. My question is would it be legal and if so would you lot sign up?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Nope. What are you saying is wrong with the idea? You would clearly be told in the sign up that you couldn’t withdraw so offers for you lot all day. Obviously if someone got in over there head I’d swap the money in there account for what they had in the exchanges etc. Its a serious question. Win win for everyone. Apart from backers on the exchanges

I’ve wondered if there’s a system of having a spreadsheet which works as a virtual bookies offering free bets presumably if you keep going with 1.5 odds there’s a point where it would end up in the exchange?

I’d just offer odds slightly below the bookies so no long term value a slightly bigger qualifying lose but free money at the end of the day. Then most money should end up in the exchanges. Basically I’d match every bet placed with a free bet up to £50 on everything. Up to u lot to try and lose. Would be a gold mine for you matched bettors. My question is would people sign up if it meant never being able to withdraw?

Sorry I thought you were having a laugh 🙂

Firstly it’s not really possible to win/lose at the bookies or exchange side intentionally.
Secondly what’s the point in going after a free bet if you can’t withdraw it at the bookie side?
    I’m really confused here 😀

No worries bud. Either try the martin gale system to try and lose it or if like i said u have say 10 grand at my bookies I’d do a straight swap for your exchange winnings. I think this would work as long as all the matched bettors got involved. We love the offers now. Imagine waking up everyday to non stop bet 50 get a free 50 on every bet.

Loveday you forget the pyscology of a mug better.

Its the hope of the next big win that is their motivation.

Take that hope away by not being able to withdraw and the betting industry would die overnight.

Is it half term already ?

I get it, this is not for mug punters but just those looking for offers (Us-Matchbettors). I can’t see it being legal however, you could in theory end up with your entire savings in the account with no option to retrieve.

No if you get in over your head it gets swapped for your exchange money…
    makes perfect sense

“if like i said u have say 10 grand at my bookies I’d do a straight swap for your exchange winnings.”

If I’m laying my bets, and end up 10grand up with your bookies, presumably I lost at the exchange. So you’re giving me my 10k and taking -5k????

Makes perfect sense? Makes no sense!

Points for thinking outside the box… I’ve often thought bookmakers could use us as ‘middle men’ for the exchange but I guess they could just do that themselves??

Conner please explain how you think it makes perfect sense.

The value would always end up at the bookie and not at the exchange.

It is a misconception that MB winnings come from the exchanges,it comes from the value at the bookies from the freebets.
