  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I was Finance Director of a large multinational and took the opportunity to retire at 52 with full pension.
Played sport and followed the horses.
Made a great deal from matchbetting but afraid those days are gone for ever by the looks of it.

    Dear Patrick,
So you used matched betting and now you are saying that everyone who uses them, destroys the country ? Bravo

    Patrick.

Everyone gets different opportunities based on their luck, education, natural talents and connections. I don’t know why you are making this about who is working or not, who was a finance director or not. Everyone’s idea of success and priorities is different and many ppl balance career/personal/family goals in a different way.

I’m glad you had a highly successful career, I’m glad you had an opportunity to retire early, I’m glad you made a ton on matched betting over the years.

I’m sorry I ruined it all on you. If it makes you any happier I’ve gotten what was coming to me and I’ve also ruined it on myself through a dozen gubbings.

I wish I listened to you months ago, I could have gotten out before it died.

My quali loss of £3.32 was becasue my lunch break came to an end and I had to go with 6/6.8 in the end!!
Couldn’t believe how quickly the lay came down after I’d done it 🙁
Still think it was worth doing on that horse though and thankfully it came 2nd so refund for me.

Also, I took the arb as it’s only a matter of time til I get gubbed anyway. It must be pretty clear what I am doing better £25 on promo’s only etc.
Besides, I can’t be to blame for them offering higher odds than their competitors.

I’m almost £100 up in the last 6 days now so going pretty well. However my total for last month was only £269 lol

I personally think there is some truth to the notion that matchbetting has become more challenging to make money, particularly with horse racing. This free bet if horse comes 2nd to fav is a terrible offer imo. All the time you have to spend finding close matches it isnt worth it.

But when it comes to betfair and bet365 they are still worth the bother IMO. I went a whole week without hitting anything including the Sat last week was getting negged out by as spent a lot of time for nothing. Yesterday i hit 2x25fb and a 50fb with bet365. Today I hit a coral 25fb and a bet365 50fb. So if you do have bad days the good days make up for it i suppose. None here can honestly say it hasn’t got harder though. Thats BS

I couldn’t give a sh*t if its got harder..everyone is well aware of that we just don’t need Patrick to tell us every fucking day, its so annoying.

But regardless if its got harder or whatever. I am making FREE money for a sort of hobby. I.e 888Sport Goals Mean More promo, it can take me 5 minutes to put on my qualifying bets, and I can earn anywhere from £10-£20+ depending how my teams score.

I for one am made up at all the extra money I have made and i’m sure everyone else is, we don’t need to have this conversation with Patrick every single day.

Patrick, if you were Finance Director of a large multinational, why are you spending your days matched betting, which presumably pulls in a fraction of what you were earning before?

If you’re going to make something up, at least make it plausible.
