How much better is to do matched betting in the UK than in Ireland?

  • I’m new in matched betting, I only have 6 accounts by now.
I live in Ireland and I travel to Northern Ireland to do business at least 3 days per week, and I could rent a room for a month in Northern Ireland and get a UK driver’s license and register to bookies as a UK customer, in case that it is much better to do matched betting in the UK than in Ireland.

In percentages, what would you say, maybe 20%, 30% more money is doable if betting from the UK than from Ireland?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

PMichael. I dont think its any better in the UK to be honest.

One tip though. When opening accounts use GBP as your currency (£20 free bet is worth more than a €20 free bet).

In Ireland if you’re doing the shops then Paddy Power seems to have more offers in their Irish shops than they do across the sea.

BetMcLean likes us Irish more as well – they don’t offer their sign up to the UK and they froze out the UK on their offers at Goodwood/Galway this year – it was one of the best offer matched bettors got this year.

    Good luck.

If you’re effectively living in 2 different countries then sounds a great chance to multi account and get the best of both worlds

Multi accounting? This is something as new to me as matched betting was a couple of months ago. How would it work? You mean that I have the accounts on my name in the UK and then in Ireland “my aunt” has accounts on her name? Couls you please explain me more?

FoG_BLoG so overall it would not be a problem to have all accounts set up in Ireland, only that to choose GBP as currency where possible.

If it’s different sites (.ie and .co.uk) you could probably quite innocently use the same details on each one.
Different username and email may help on top of the different postal address if you were to get gubbed as they may not link accounts.
