In-store Acca Insurance
-
So after finally getting the gub stick from all the major bookies that offer acca insurance online I’d like to turn my head to shops. However, just been in this morning to pick up the weekend coupon and deary me, the odds are so way off (to be able to use) compared to online.
Ie William Hill.
Man Utd 1-6 (1.17, compared to 1.22)
Juventus 1-7 (1.14, compared to 1.2)Are the odds on the coupon just out of date and will go through at online odds, or do I simply need to trawl through. See if there’s good matches that are totally different to those thrown up from online and then hope when placing the acca the coupon odds aren’t slashed?
Anybody got any tips on this? I know I may be venturing into the territory where everyone keeps their cards to their chest but worth a shot. FOG, Dan?

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I noticed the odds on the coupons in Coral’s were/are normally higher than the odds on their connect machines!
+0Not sure really. To make it worth while going the rounds of the shops I think you need to make sure you lay the acca and make sure you hit a few shops.
I have only one paddy close so did the acca there for a while and made money but it’s not worth the hassle. One day I’m going to get a big float and a big acca across 20 shops and guarantee 100’s profit.
Sometimes if the odds have been out of date in paddy here in Ireland I just point it out and they update it for me. Obviously if they are out of date and higher than they should then I stay quiet.
+0sorry for the silly question fellt1p but they do the acca insurance offer in William Hill shops yes? Ive done the one in the local Paddy shop as someone mentioned it on here but I didn’t want to go into the local Hills and ask as I thought it might look a bit obvious what I was doing plus the only promos they had all over their windows were the High 5 offer. Thanks
+0Over the past few year I’ve noticed much worse odds in shops at times, and not just for footie coupons but for other sports too (except for horses and dogs which seem same as online)
My theory on this is that they know you’re in there to bet and must will take price because it’s harder to shop when on foot.
Online they know you could place bet else where in 10 seconds so prices seem a bit better.
The nature of the shop coupons I’m afraid mate.
+0Ive tried the shops and honestly it’s not worth it. Odds are terrible, if you find a good one it’s changed against you. Free bets have to be placed on football so overall QL is higher and extraction is lower.
For the time and effort it’s not worth it unless it’s subsided into another shop offer like the half time offer back in the days in Paddys.
+0So gubbed by Lads and thought I’d give their in-store ACCA coupon a go. Got a £25 freebet but just wanted to know how you guys go about finding a decent match to use it on? The odds I’m seeing are a bit crap to say the least!
+0@Lewi6079 one way to use them if it has to be Football is on draw doubles that start at different times. If you can find a good match between 2 games you should be able to extract 85% + of the free bet. If it’s any sport then it is a case of finding close horse racing matches.

On another note does anyone know if the Paddy Power Acca offer in store is the same as online i.e. £50? Thanks!
+0Yes, £50 in store. No minimum odds if you use the coupon, 1.2 min odds on the betting terminals.
+0Perfect – thanks!
+0So, placed a £50 ACCA at PP on the terminal this afternoon with accumulated odds of 2.93. Checked the odds when I got back online about 5 mins after and I could only get 2.85! Better than the odds offered online with the added bonus I could get the insurance on Copa del Rey games not available online. Not bad at all considering gubbed at PP! 🙂
+0Quick question re the PP offer – can you use cash in the terminal? and if so what is to stop you doing repeat visits?
+0Terminal is cash or pay by card at desk.
+0Thanks Lewi6079 – forgive my ignorance but if it’s cash what’s to stop you doing several duplicate ACCA’s all of which are potentially quite profitable?
