Laid the wrong horse : What to do next?
-
Hi,
I mistakenly put a bet on Batalion instead of Gabrial on the 14;40 at Chester tomorrow. Luckily I cancelled some of the bet, however, I got matched on £18 at lay odds of 9.8 , giving a liability of £158.47.
What is the best way for me to cancel this bet out? Luckily the back odds are going up, so I shouldnt lose out, but just wondered how to calculate my stake?

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

U should use oddschecker to find out which bookie has the best odds for the horse u didnt mean to lay. Then divide your liability by those odds to give u your back stake.
If the back odds are 9.0, then 158.47/9 would give a back stake of 17.60.
If horse wins, you win 158.47 on bookie and lose same on exchange, if horse doesnt win, you win your lay stake minus comission.+0
