Lost Bet365…again!

  • Shame, especially with tonight. At least I managed to do the Grand National Offer.

Perhaps the fact i’m doing it off a 4g connection makes it more dodgy…heard of people abusing their football offer for months on end and not get gubbed. Think I managed one and i’m already gone…I would seriously love to know their criteria very frustrating!

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

RyanB, I don’t think there is much logic to a lot of the gubbings that have been happening recently. I think at one time doing some mug betting did help to keep ones account open for quite a while. I suspect that in the current much tighter climate where the bookies are scared stiff of possible matched bettors mug betting is probably a waste of time.

I would think that a lot of mug punters as well as matched bettors are being gubbed at the moment and that this current moment in time is probably the worst time to be getting into MB if your hoping to have your accounts for more than a few weeks or months.

If they have had the accounts for some time and are not making a big profit maybe that is why they have kept their accounts so far.

Gubbings are coming at a far far greater rate than in the past and that can not be disputed.

Wether bookies are sharing information via software such as novation or even word of mouth their information seems much more detailed and accruate.

And yes they are gubbing true mug punters aswell if that mug punter drops lucky and has a winning streak soon after opening an account.

Think they have also cottoned on to the wife/gf opening accounts.
Apparently statistics show that the ladies tend to play the online games rather than normal footy/horses so a female signing up and just doing footy/horses offers would be a clear alert.

I think if bookies were as paranoid about matched bettors as some ppl hear think then they would just scale back the offers!

Do you really think that the heads of the bookies are discussing Ryan’s accounts via word of mouth?

I think it’s very unusual to lose Bet365 so quickly Ryan. Maybe they did zone in on your location or linked the account somehow with your previous. They might not freeze your account and keep your funds – you’re just a small time fraud. They probably only reserve that action for big time fraudsters. I guess they let you go with just a gubbing.

You’re not having luck with the new accounts so far? Do you think its because they are female? You should go after them for discrimination.

Also Ladbrokes have in the last few months added a rider to withdrawals whereby they now state after you request a withdrawal ” withdrawal request is subject to a review of winnings”

No doubt if the winings are the result of a freebbet no doubt the gubbings email will follow shortly.

Patrick, I know the law does not really apply to thieves (bookies). But they can’t restrict you based on your gender really. The motor insurance companies can’t rate you based on your gender even though the ladies are safer drivers in terms of what they cost insurance companies.

It is against gender equality laws.

If you suspect that they are barring you for racial/religious/gender/age/address reasons can they still hide behind the whole we are not telling you why you are gubbed because its the traders decision and we are not telling you any more?

Yeah FOG my own accounts lasted much much much longer than my girlfriends. People who suggest well thats because you sign up and do offers straight away, thats all I did with my own account. I find it hard to believe how people who do offer after offer get away scott free whilst I do two and lose bet365 already just seems to be no logics in that at all. One of them though! Never mind!

The offers are to get the weak signed up to online and mobile betting and then encourage ttem to use the online games which are the real revenue generators for them.

Match bettors have hijacked the process.
How else do they attract new customers other than offers.
They have tried to make sign up offers more difficult by use of rollover requirements.

5 or 6 years ago rollover requirements were unheard of.

no logic to it Ryan as you’ve mentioned loads including myself only ever vist bet365 for the national and the £50 in play offers. I personally stay away from the 4/1 feature race offers maybe this offer can highlight people for a good old gubbing?

I received this dreaded gubbings and all my mates are still allowed to do it. Doesn’t seem fair

As a female myself I do agree that if an account is set up as a woman and the only bets placed are on football, horses and special offers it probably does look a bit dodgy. I do matched betting and was previously a mug punter but I seem to be a bit of a rarity, particularly amongst younger females (say under 40).

I also agree that a female probably wouldn’t do an opening offer for a large sum of money all in one bet – I tend to do the rollovers in chunks of up to say £50 (my accounts are set up under the name of a man as opposed to myself).

I think bookies are more likely to keep an eye on a females account once certain things are flagged up – ridiculous and sexist as that sounds in this day and age I can’t help feeling that it’s true

Sorry, I’m not buying that. My girlfriend has had accounts open longer than myself. Despite some big wins from them.

It’s not necessarily big wins that flag certain things up in their systems though is it

I suspect in Ryans’ case they knew the account was linked as surely they wouldn’t close an account after only a couple of bets, that’s more what you’d expect from a smaller bookies, Bet365 are large fry in comparison to many others

For the last time…I highly doubt they linked the account to another. If this was the case they would have closed the account and kept the balance as per the terms. Not send out another gub email.

“Sorry, I’m not buying that. My girlfriend has had accounts open longer than myself. Despite some big wins from them.”
That’s just anecdotal – I don’t think anyone should dispute that the ratio of female to male punters must be pretty damn small. On top of that, the bookies must know that a big percentage of the female accounts out there, are just dummy accounts opened on behalf of men after they get gubbed, or used to multi-account with. They’re not stupid.
“I think bookies are more likely to keep an eye on a females account once certain things are flagged up” <- and that’s the point… I think this is common sense.
And Sammy – nothing ridiculous or sexist about it – men are just more interested in sport 😉
