Milestone Achieved
-
So according to my accounts and spreadsheets, I have reached a milestone in my matched betting career. I’ve hit £20,000 profit.
I started over the August Bank Holiday weekend 2015 and most of the money has come from the horses second place offers and Bet365 in-play/4-1 offers. In particular, Cheltenham was incredibly profitable albeit hard work and a bit of an ordeal, wilI definitely take the week off work next year if I’m still going. I’ve gone through a lot of my own accounts and have others presently open.
I have rarely arbed and have not had a go at accas so I feel I could have probably made much more but good to have those options still open for when everything else dries up.
My target when I started out was £10,000 and that was pretty easy to get to having lived through the “Golden Age” of matchedbetting, I have now set myself a goal of £25-30,000 by June 2017 at which time I hope to move out of my place and buy my own country house. Got to have an end game in all of this.
So yeah, thought I’d share with you and give the newbies some added incentive. I know the usual suspects will accuse me of swinging my dick here but thats exactly what I am doing, I feel like I deserve to be doing so.
Onwards and upwards.

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Check out all the swinging dicks in here!! 😀 Joking of course 😉
Great achievement @Chris and everyone else sharing their success stories. Of course none of this is “free money”; I think a lot of newbies fail to realise the amount of effort that is needed to really make a success of this, particularly if you have a day job, family and other commitments to fit it in around!
MB is evolving and I am grateful to all those on here who continue to post up their new ideas and strategies.
Here’s to the next £20k!!
+0arb – Enjoyed reading your post there, great stuff. Sounds like you were actually a high roller, I apologise Lily Allen style on behalf of my country for the fact you had to sit through that England vs Paraguay game, I remember how dull it was.
I’ve also spent quite a bit on holidays, gadgets etc.
Tony – Completely agree. Its actually hard work, i mentioned Cheltenham and that was seriously tiring, my brain was absolutely fried at the end of each day.
+0Well done
Can I ask where I took most of that profit?
Did you manage to filter it through exchanges, or did you take a loss on exchanges so even more than your profit off the bookies?+0Ha ha, Cheltenham! I nearly had a mental breakdown. I tracked all my bets in a separate spreadsheet that week. Some times I go back and look at it and just laugh. It was like then end of the crystal maze where your trying to grab all the golden tickets that are flapping about. Bonkers.
+0@Chris, well done a real achievement and inspiration to us all. When you say you have opened accounts with family members, could you share the detail? Did you open a current account in their name or use their existing account? Do you use a VPN or not bother. How often do you get asked to provide documentation?
@matchdem care to share how much “more in a little less time” you have made and how? Or is this just another one of your Wums?
+0Chris you say you’ve lost accounts but resurrected them under family names – how have you done that?
I have a PP account in my mums name but need her credit card to fund it and dont want to be constantly depositing withdrawing onto her card and her refunding me. I tried PayPal with a few of my accounts but kept getting security validation when I needed to deposit which meant it was a massive pain in the arse.
Any tips for starting new accounts when youve been gubbed? Ive only got Coral, B365, BV and Betfred of the main ones left.
+0So I started out making new accounts at the same address, different name obviously and different debit card details. I also used this persons iPad rather than my computer. Some of those accounts are still going, others I lost pretty quickly (Bet365, Boylesports, Coral).
I also have my brothers accounts, much easier as he not only lives at another address but in another city on the other side of England. I bought an iPad with a 4G plan just to use his accounts and the only one I have lost is Boylesports who gub everyone quickly anyway. I pay him 35% of profit made on his accounts.

Congratulations Chris! That is absolutely crazy.
I made only £4k in a year starting Nov 15. I truly don’t understand how you managed to do so well!
I never used multi accounts though but I’ve always got that option in the future. I have withdrawn every penny and unsubscribed to all the emails now. It took up so much time I actually can’t be bothered to go back to it.I do plan on having a go on someone else’s behalf though. I just wonder if there are enough welcome offers around to make £1k fairly easily?? Gonna have to tally up some of those listed.
There’s still plenty I never even joined. But mostly cos they sound well dodgy+0I think you can easily makes £500 in one month for someone with just Bet365. £200 welcome bonus and if you get £5 profit for each 4/1+ race (which is possible once you have a feel for it) then you need to cover 60 races (also go towards your rollover), so that’s the 2 races per day. That would total £500 profit.
I don’t know about £1000 but that’s you half way there ….
+0Thanks for the reply Chris. I understand how you can use other peoples details (ie your brother) but how do you go about financing the accounts, as you would need his debit card details? Isnt that a pain?
+0Oh and FOG, what is the best tactic for the B365 4/1 offer please?
+0I broke through the £10k mark yesterday, started mid-December last year, thanks to all that have posted offers
+0How much cash are you managing to withdraw from bookies without account being restricted at all?
+0Sorry, havent looked at this thread for a while.
grinningbeast – Card details (and Paypal) are saved at all the bookies so all i need is the three digit security numbers which are easy to remember. I transfer the money to their bank accounts in advance of making deposits.
betman – I make regular withdrawals as I firmly believe that withdrawing money doesnt hasten gubbings so the amounts vary. I used to leave it all in but now I withdraw everything from everywhere on Mondays unless their is European or International football on mid-week.
